You could argue the early 90s Bills a 'dynasty' of sorts - despite having no SB wins. I think the Chief's last five years would stand as a minor dynasty when looked back on even if they regressed from this point. Win or lose, they have been remarkable in NFL history already and involved in some of the greatest, most entertaining games.

And fast forwarding a few years Mahomes would need to win a couple with a new supporting cast (post Travis Kelce) and a new head coach. I don’t think Reid will stick around for Mahomes’ entire run, so winning with whoever the next head coach is would be the cherry on top.

As a Chiefs fan the first one after 50 years was amazing. This one is amazing also. In the 90s the Chiefs were good enough to get to the playoff and a couple AFC championships but there would all ways have something go wrong. Now the Chiefs are the best team in the NFL year after year but I know that anything could happen to this run the Chiefs are on. Cap space injuries coaching changes ect. Thats the NFL anything can happen. I would love to see the Chiefs and Mahomes over throw Brady and the Patroits but thats not realistic but if Mahomes could win 5 that would be awsome. Chiefs are the Champs!

Nick is right: The Chiefs have had a significant role in all five seasons that Mahomes has been QB, (5 straight AFC Championship appearances resulting in 3 AFC Championships, 3 SB appearances and 2 SB Wins). You can't win them all but, those numbers mean that they're always the team to beat while most teams are 'one hit wonders'. The Chiefs are anything but that. Every team should be worried about the Chiefs during the regular and postseason. The Bangles underestimated them and lost. Just about every sports show voted for the Eagles to win and in the end, they lost. They seem to forget, even an injured Mahomes is a dangerous Mahomes and this 2nd SB win proves it.

Chiefs have hosted 5 straight conference championships. No one else has done that. They've only won two Super Bowls in those five years, but they've been to the Super Bowl three times. 2018 is not the beginning of the Chiefs potential dynasty. They lost in the AFC championship game to the current dynasty of that year; the Patriots. That was the Patriots last year of their 2nd dynasty run. For that reason 2018 has to be disqualified. They won in 2019. That's the beginning; and next year, if they win, that would cement their dynasty.

If we are going to include the TEN YEAR GAP between Patriots Super Bowls as all part of the same dynasty, due to sustained playoff presence and the same coach QB combo, why is this not a dynasty? If the Patriots get to go to 2 Super Bowls in ten years and lose both of them, and still be considered part of a dynasty, why don't the chiefs get to go to 3 Super Bowls in 5 years and win two of them? Everybody has their opinion on what a dynasty is. Every since this dude has been their QB they've either represented the AFC in the Super Bowl or made it to their conference title game. When he's made it to the Super Bowl, they're 2-1 and when they made it to the AFC title game (which was their 5th straight) they're 3-2 in those games with the 2 losses coming to New England and Cincinnati.
