There is a difference between signing washed up players and signing players who might be past there prime like Bobby Wagner who might not still be in his prime but his knowledge of the game is invaluable to the younger players.

Pat Pete was better in zone when he was the Vikings. Part of the reason the Vikings got rid of him (salary was part of it too) was because once Flores was hired, Flores runs more man on the backend. Wasn't as good a fit in the Flores defense. Yes he's probably HOF, but it's not as simple as he's knowledgeable (of course he is) and he's better than Forbes. Is he though rn? Also Forbes was the 16th pick overall, they aren't gonna punt yet. Next year, maybe...

Patrick Peterson ,Marshon Lattimore would be great for the Commanders on a moderate contract 7-12 $ Million a year but we have to stop breaking the bank paying 15-20 Mill for players who haven’t proven themselves repeatedly over a few years before getting a large amount like Daron Payne ,That 20$Mill could have gotten us 2 solid corners & still can . just make the Trade that simple

You can tell people all you want. Our squad doesn't have mid tier talent or elite talent on the defense. It is going to be tough all season. Whitt can only do so much. Rivera had terrible drafts.

@@patwilliams7362 because me myself would be able to fix this defense with the exact players we have on the roster. I would have better schemes and blitz packages. Where your players are positioned and how they drift during a play is EXTREMELY important but Whitt doesn’t focus on that.. and also bad angles on RB runs. I look at the tapes and just see very bad designs. Also I would be ON the field calling the plays and not in a booth. This is 1000% on Joe Whitt Jr
