As a Queen fan I always enjoy where their music is used! Nice surprise today while watching American Crime Scene! Nice application ;-)

@@winterlynn9012 It is 100% not grounds to be dismissed from the jury; the juror themselves had no idea until this idea was told to them by the defense.

Ya that seems a bit suspect to me. Idk how hat would be grounds for dismissal. Thats like saying "Did you know your lawn guy also works Xs lawn?" Like unless the person explicitly goes out of their way why the hell would I know or care? Which is even made more so in the case of a doctor.

I just watched a lengthy courtTv analysis of the trial with a ton of unseen footage, and it showed a real life dismissed juror in a press conference saying “it’s like that old song another one bites the dust” I’m sure this was seen during the research for this show. So an actual dismissed juror may be responsible for this song choice.

We all know that 10 jurors were dismissed during the O.J. Simpson trial (and replaced by 10 alternates), what I"d really like to know is if Marcia Clark smirked at Cochran every time a black juror was dismissed and Johnny Cochran smirked at Clark every time a white juror was dismissed.

They almost lost jurors down to the wire. They were afraid they would be left with 11 jurors as all alternates were dismissed. If that happened it would have been a mistrial unless both sides were ok with 11 jurors. I almost wished that happened bc oj would have been screwed. The prosecution would have learned from their mistakes & oj would have spent god knows how much more time in jail & he ran out of money to pay any more lawyers . On the other hand I could see the d.a. not wanting to retry bc of the dumb cameras in the room . The entire country knew about this case. Ito was horrible & was seduced by the fame. That's why he wanted cameras & let ridiculous theories in & the seperate sattelite trial on furhman. It's insane this case lasted 9 months. All cause ito & the defense loved the attention it dragged on & on. The civil case which oj lost was handled correctly. I think it only went a month , the lawyers for the browns & goldmans did not even bother with furhman bc they had so much evidence they did not need the gloves. The prosecution knew all about furhman 's file confirming he had wanted a transfer in his youth bc he worked in an area with all black people & he admitted he was starting to have a bias against them. So I would have said screw the gloves, bc they needed furhman to introduce them. D.n.a was very new to the public & the jurors admitted they did not get it & said it was a waste of time. I would not have spent 3 months on d.n.a. & I would have focused on all the evidence they did not introduce. Also the trial was supposed to be in Santa monica where the murders happened & the jury of ojs true peers bc they lived their were mostly wealthy older white people. The civil trial was in Santa monica . Also darden was way over his head & they only put him on bc he was black which caused a person conflict for Darden bc he was booed at his own church & was called " uncle tom " by people. This obviously had to have an affect on him.

Besides Tracy Hampton... the jury who wanted out and went "insane"... this is the jury acquitted O.J. Several of the jurors that the prosecution had dismissed would have voted to convict OJ. So this tactic backfired.

Why does having the same Doctor as Simpson count as grounds for dismissal? If it was the Doctor himself I'd understand but why would being treated by the same Doctor matter?
@ers76523 жыл бұрын
Probably because you can assume the juror was still seeing her doctor even during the sequestration. It would be wrong of the court to prohibit a juror from seeking medical attention and considering that the trial was almost a year long (and she's elderly) the juror likely saw her doctor several times during the trial.. They dismissed her because it could be possible that her doctor may casually mention things about the trial that the jurors are not supposed to know. Also keep in mind there are protections between a doctor and patient so if there was an information "leak" there's not much the court can do about it
