Back when I had zero musical background, before I ever started learning to play the keyboard (which imho is nothing compared to playing the piano in terms of difficulty), I'd simply have thought "wow, how fast he plays and yet how beautiful it sounds". But that doesn't come anywhere near to giving TRUE credit to what he has done to the song. And to how much time, effort, patience, persistence, knowledge of music theory and butt raw creativity has been required of him to do so. Learning to play an already written piece of music is merely the tip of the iceberg... After that, come layers upon layers of embellishing every meter on the sheet, each one with a shit ton of "what if I played that instead?" or "could I shorten this note here or fill that pause there with something that matches harmonically and compliments the rest?", as well as evaluating every new idea (hm, still not strong enough/could be faster/could play the chord on a lower octave/could extend the chord higher up/this part could still hold more notes/etc.). And you stop when your heart tells you you've used your instrument's full potential to build emotion out of the song, you'd simply need more instruments to make anything stronger out of it. An arrangement like this effectively requires one to pour their soul itself in the song. It's a battle against yourself to manage to make your instrument bring out everything the song is 'packing'. So, sir, I'm not gonna tell you this made me shed a tear, which it did, but I AM gonna say: I can clearly tell you've laid your soul in this, bare for all to see, and it looks absolutely epic. Battle's over and it seems you've won. Hats off to you :)

Hey Patrik, I just recently decided to get back into piano. I had played for like 13 years but then college kind of took over my free time and I've been away from a piano. Discovering your channel has been an inspiration for it and I've decided to learn most of the Star Wars songs you've put out. I love your arrangements. You're the only KZbinr I've turned on notifications for. There's a few more obscure Star Wars songs I'd love to learn, and I can't really find piano arrangements for them, especially ones as good as you could make. I know you probably get a thousand requests per video, so I totally get it if you can't or if you don't have the desire to do these songs. Thanks! - Yoda's Theme - Into the Trap - Thrawn's Web - The Clones' Theme - March on the Jedi Temple Unrelated, I'd love to see your arrangement of Nadia's Theme.
