@Lucifer Morningstar Check out the animated one if you haven't seen it yet. It's a single movie only about 90 minutes long, and I would argue the music is in some ways better. I actually prefer it to the Peter Jackson ones.

I always loved everybody’s different takes his songs in his books, but Peter Jackson’s version stands out to me, and this piano piece is a perfect representation of that as well. This is yet again incredible! You retained the haunting atmosphere of the track perfectly, while also incorporating your own personal style. The portion starting at 2:16 is particularly stunning. I'd say the movies were decent compared to a lot of other franchises or movies. However in comparison to lotr what we were expecting still kinda disappointing... Music was still great though one of the only aspects of the movies which wasn't considerably worse than lotr.

@@glam.reaper takes a lot of time. I don’t use the sheet music but I think that’s available somewhere. I’ll do like 4 measures at a time one hand at a time and just watch/listen and replicate over and over until it’s right. Can take like 2 skews before I get the whole song sounding close and I cut out the hardest parts hahaha

When this flashed up on my yt this morning, I made a point of waiting until I was sat alone to really enjoy it. Thank you. I especially appreciated the return to lower key at the end, it really brought home the deep nature of this song. The dwarves themselves being delvers into the hearts of mountains, their voices being low and strong. It was beautiful. It was like I was taken for a brief flight through the misty mountains by Gwaihir the Windlord. And then settled safely back down with the lords of Erebor.

I don't know what it was about this particular one of your videos that made me cry, but it did. Despite hearing dozens of your beautiful arrangements, this was the only one to actually bring real tears to my eyes. Maybe it's because I'm a huge Tolkien nerd, but that can't just be it. The low G octaves on the left hand at 0:34 ring out for a full 20 seconds - All the way to the next G Minor chord higher up on the piano at 0:54 - providing the foundation for all of the chords in between, like a bagpipe drone. *EPIC*

We all speak with words, and words are sounds. The piano also makes sounds. After watching such videos, you realize that the piano did not utter a word (in our usual sense), but you not only understand this unknown piano-language, but also experience such emotions as if you were told some interesting story.
