@@troym.reaves5935 it was just time. Nobody loves Bill more than I do, but he and the Patriots needed a fresh start. Who knows... maybe his coaching style just won't work for this new generation. Doesn't take away from the fact that he had probably the greatest 20 year run in sports history. Brady and Belichick were both great, but they made each other better. Belichick was possibly the only coach who wanted to draft him at all. He also was probably the only coach who had the balls to keep him in and keep Bledsoe on the sideline. So it wasn't all Brady. It's totally possible that, without Belichick, almost nobody outside of Michigan would remember him. Bill gave him the chance to blossom.

@@afmartin2734 Unfortunately that is a complete falsehood. You tried but you failed miserably. Bill Belichick is the only coach in NFL history to be gifted 3- 1st round ,1st pick overall QB's ~ Testaverde, Kosar and Bledsoe and he was a total disaster with all 3. In 11 seasons where Tom Brady wasn't starting QB coach Belichick missed the playoffs 9 times and won a grand total of 1 playoff game. Hell for 15 years the Pats never drafted an offensive player in the 1st round and Brady still put up crazy passing numbers. So let me get this straight so there is no room for misinterpretation - Coach Bill has a .450 win percentage as a coach in 11 seasons without Brady but according to you it was all Bill. @@moheganson _ How is the greatest GM in NFL history and the greatest coach "horrible" and "mediocre"? That makes no sense. He made no names into Hall of Famers. Brady was a lowly 6th rd pick. Malcolm Butler made millions because BB gave him a tryout. Edelman. Slater. He's drafted 6 or 7 other Hall of Fame players beyond Brady. He invented the Cap Era recipe on how to build teams over and over and over. He was so great, the Jets owner hired a commissioner to try to slow him down by making up stories to feed the media to take draft picks. It's how Pats fans knew Deflategate was also a framejob. It's so awkward watching you people years later still look like complete fools, just riddled with jealousy. We can only imagine how many more rings they would have had without Goodell's shenanigans hiding behind the owners' cheating from 345 Park Ave. It's the stuff of legend. Yet, you claim he's "mediocre" or "horrible". You may want to reach out for form help from a professional. You people need it. This is like saying Red Auerbach was mediocre or horrible. Amazing reception and warranted fully. As a Brit who got into the NFL late it was incredible to witness the Patriots era with Belichick and Brady. I started to really root for the team as the years of their triumphant period took centre stage. Maybe something that will never be repeated in the sport ever again. Kansas Chiefs are good but this New England Patriots time was built from the grass-roots up with the manager, coaches and quarter-back fully in sync with other top players like Gronkowski locking in too. Some periods of life are unique forever.
