The first time I heard this I was in tears. It so perfectly describes a sleepless night of crying out to the Lord and after a long night of prayer being engulfed in His presence. What a hauntingly beautiful performance. The musical genius of David Phelps wonderfully displayed.

Hi just came across da id phelps afew years ago what a voice i listen to him every day listen to him sing i sat on a plane one day marvelous i 😊thought I was good at the piano i play by ear since i was 7 years ola on my grannies pipe organ im going to be 85 this month my husband passed away 3 years ago miss him so much ut we know he is with the lord i lo e the gaithers too agnes robertson scotland

To answer your question, "is there anything David can't do" When it comes to music, there is no mountain to high for David Phelps to sing to perfection. He is the epitome of a Jack of all trades when it comes to music.

Loved love it! I just bought this dvd and am so glad I did. I also agree on why aren't they standing? I felt the same way on another one. Lol I don't think I would ever sit down at one of his concerts. Praying the Lord will heal me at least long enough for a concert. Thank you Lyle. Great job as ever!

The lyrics are original! I believe he wrote this after talking with a friend about the death of the friend's wife. You can hear the love and despair in the lyrics!

This is a late comment. Oh yes he plays the piano. He has to in order to write all of the songs he has written. He doesn't play as much in his live concerts because he has to concentrate more on his singing. As I have said before, I never realized how many songs he has written. He is so talented. I love to listen to him. I have every CD and DVD he has ever made. If I could I would go to his concerts and see him live.

So David can even reach BASS notes, like this E2 ("[...] won't you stay"). Anyway, David is actually a baritone, trained to sing tenor/alto. Can sing pretty much anything.
