"its insane to say at any cost", true, almost as crazy as, just to throw out a random example, 'i dont care about the literal child blackmailed into killing someone'

sometimes the rapid fluctuations with Woolie and Pat's empathy levels with fictional characters is baffling

Can't wait for the inevitable Metaphor: FES that adds the Mage Academy back into the game.

I love all the people asking for Rudolph to be killed in chat. The gangs slogan is "Help anyone in need," not "Kill anyone in need."😂

About what Pat said at the start regarding cut content. I wouldn't be surprised if the game was initially intended to go until December like other Persona games. It's weird having it end in October. So by that logic, two major events must have been cut. The Mage Academy? Definitely one of them. The third round of the Crown Contest could have been the other. It would have made you focus on Forden being the true bad guy. Having Forden just call off the contest after round 2 felt a bit rushed. I wonder what it would have involved.

I imagine if the game was ment to go to December originally Forden might've been the boss of a dungeon. He probably would have been punked by Louis in the exact same way anyway but Louis would have revealed himself to be alive about a month after his "death" instead of like 12 hours after

@@weeaboowrangler6321 I was thinking it would have been a debate. You spend a month preparing like the Charadis, but instead of fighting, you design your policies as king and debate against the other top candidates. Having the Royal Virtues be required for better responses would have been awesome. Forden would be the final boss of the arc after you publicly accuse him of the Prince's assassination and he would be forced to honorably duel you in an attempt to save face. Depending on your performance in the debates, you might have to fight against the other candidates as adds. But after an exhausting fight, Louis steals your Forden-kill and demands Hythlodeus lift the kill-ban in response to the candidates learning to circumvent the royal magic by challenging each other.

I think that most of my issues with the really silly sequence of events at 9/11 and 9/12 could have been avoided had they given us a sick ass dungeon for the Mage Academy. So far you've done the cathedral, which ruled. Then you go to town 2 and that dungeon is much smaller, but it's decent. Town 3 doesn't have a real dungeon. Town 4 has a great dungeon and town 5 has no dungeon again. It's 5 towns so far with only 2.5 solid dungeons. By then you see that the crown contest is a farce (the game itself stops you from ranking too high in some points) and then it's all dropped and you're in second place for the next sequence of events... Kinda took me out. I haven't played the game in 2 weeks :/

@@chrisdaughen5257 I got spoiled on Louise's endgame goal and also something about boring tower dungeon... Do we at least get 1 or 2 big dungeons like the cathedral or Shinjuku before the end?

Origins may look bad but let's not be facetious- it's not a flaw that it came out looking like a early ps3 game. that's just an early PS3 game; not many PS3 games aged well and look great. Deep roads does suck tho.

Also I recommend actually playing veilguard pat- I don't know what you mean by feel good nature (Especially when you play persona which in 5 ryuji is yelling sexist remarks about how the girls should worship the ground the guys walk on with zero reaction from the girls and guys; they just blink at him. Hell he never even properly apologized to Morgana, or when he claims to love his mom and hate kamoshida's treatment of women while again yelling that the girls "just don't appreciate how great they are" like they don't kick just as much butt. Or using the P.T's title for fame and girls. Persona 5 is feel good, the conflict resolution is more towards hating villains and acquitting a teenage murderer because he looks pretty I guess.) In V.G the characters fight all the time, but they're adults and can either talk things out or stay pissed and resolve it later, it's very no nonsense and the characters can't fight all the time, not even baldur's gate did that on a Constance. You probably haven't seen it cause you didn't bother, but it does exist, I don't know how you could get enough information to assume it's feel good but also be...completely wrong XD

i played origins on an xbox 360 for hundreds of hours at launch and had no problems at the time, but two years ago i bought it on gog and i spent 3 days trying to adjust settings, use UI/scaling mods, and more to try and get it just to the point where i could read the dialogue and tooltips and i got it to work for 25 minutes before it crashed and i just gave up.

SaGa is fantastic, but it is absolutely not a game for everyone. The Romancing SaGa 2 Remake is probably the most approachable of the franchise, since it actually teaches you a little bit about the systems under the hood, but it's also vicious in a way modern JRPGs aren't. A lot of people will tell you that if you grind too hard, you'll fuck yourself, but it's more about WHEN you grind that matters. If you try to grind out skills too early, you'll push enemies out of your potential to kill them, since you won't have access to better equipment. You can overcome it with careful party planning, skill use, and formations, but for a first time player it's a huge ask. I still wouldn't recommend it to someone who has already bounced off the franchise though. You only get one first impression.
