Just a few points to consider guys, I’ve been living in quite a few condos in Jomtien, I’ve found that a condo unit facing the sea you get a cooler breeze and I’ve never needed to use the Aircon, just a fan, that’s a big saving over a year. For me you can’t beat a sea view and a reasonably sized balcony. Yes some condos have amazing facilities like this place, but really the above points are more important for me!

I agree. I would like a sea view and a a large balcony. I don’t care if the condo is a bit old, but it must be more than 60 sq meters. Coming out at end of October to retire. I intend to stay in Jomtien for a few months and then maybe move on to Hua Hin or Koh Samui.

@@HockeyNationLiveShow This channel has loads of vlogs on condos, personally I like View Talay 5C/D and 7 on Dongtan Beach, prices for studios are around 9.000/15,000 a month for one year. Though the prices are increasing now!

U forgot to mention, u made 20 times less in Jomtien. 😊. That's not to say Jomtien is bad, just an other side of the coin worth considered. I, myself, had chosen Thailand 10 years ago already. Cheers!😂

Hi Daz I stayed here for a month late last year in a 1 Bed. It's a very nice development and good value and I was very happy staying here . Also there is a lot of security staff . It's just off Bun Kanchana 5 which has Tesco/Lotus ,2 x 7/11 and many places to eat plus a local market, phone shops,massage shops etc

Thanks for the video. I've been living on the beach for 8 years, 6 months (Metro Jomthien Condotel). But now with the new beach and all it's noise I'll be looking for a new place. I stayed here for a few weeks through a booking on airbnb. It's a nice pool and gym etc but the condo's have similar issues to many other new condo projects... Very thin walls, cheap materials and limited space. I could hear every scrape, bump, fart and moan from the residents above, below and each side of where I was staying. There was a Chinese family staying next door and they sat on the balcony until 2 or 3am spitting sunflower seed shells into the air and shouting at each other. I later moved to an older condo building and found it much quieter with more room - Jomtien Beach Condo and later View Talay.

Really enjoyed this again Daz. By now I have got the idea that you can get a nice 1 or 2 bed condo for easily less than $500p/m, and often much less. For family reasons I can't come until next year, but I still enjoy watching the videos giving me an ever expanding picture of what is available for the money. Keep them coming Daz. Nice to see modern style condo unit in Jomtien where there’s a huge choice now with all the condos being built still…looks similar style to many condo buildings now. 🤔😉 You would need your own transport tho as off the beaten track there off Jomtien 2nd road. That’s why the View Talay condos in Jomtien n Pattaya are very popular as on the baht bus routes and very reasonable…albeit older condo buildings but big room sizes…..as that’s where I usually stay.😉😎

Jomtien has some older, larger condos which seem like a bargain, until you discover the electric (cooling) cost for so much space can exceed 4,000 baht per month. Plus you're paying more in baht and hours traveling to Pattaya.

Yes... Close to town is much better... If you want to go to bars or gogos then taxis will cost Alot of money. (The taxi are a maffia) much more than the savings in rent.

Interesting. A friend found condo rentals in Pattaya shooting up rapidly. A 1BR condo he saw in VT6 jumped by B4000 from last month. Looks like Jomtien isn't following that trend with excellent bargains still available.

That’s a lovely condo. I loved the fact that the washing machine is inside. Never really got it why they keep it on the balcony. But if you have multiple vehicles does parking become a problem living in a condo or in that case house is better?

I can see why it's 15,000 with a dented up fridge, plater chunk missing out of the main bedroom, a couple of cracks along some walls. What's the dog situation like by the complex, as well as food establishments/7/11 etc. because this is where some places are let down massively like Laguna Beach 1 & 3, no services within a 5 minute walk and about 30 dogs hanging around out the front.

I've stayed venetian, I just felt I would need a scooter to get around when ideally i wouldnt do this in thailand (due to dangers). Do you know anywhere that allows 3 month rents (instead of 1 year contracts) or is it better to just get a hotel rate or airbnb for this short of time?

I live here in Pattaya now...I stay at the Riviera Jomtein--a bit more expensive, but great facility. I've been surviving on the 60-day Covid extensions since last year...I lived in Koh Samui before coming here. The condo discounted deals are primarily with 1-year contracts...you will pay more if you do month to month, 3-month, 6-month, etc. However, you can still find a better deal compared to staying in a hotel or Airbnb.
