Oh love you in that dress the color with the sweater is so cute, but the pants, well you know my thoughts on drop crotch, only good thing I will say about them is they look cute with your boots and all covered up by the dress 😊

Great outfit! (& a cute summer dress on it's own) I've been trying to make version of this style--gathers at front on a narrow tie or ribbon--simple & not too voluminous. I'll take a look at this pattern :)

It's a good pattern but check the sizing before you cut!

Love the dress; great review! I made a Burda top once with the tab-like belt; later I wished I’d left it off or came up with another option. I didn’t like the long sleeves tucks either, looked bulky in close up pics. I’m almost finished with a Diane Ericson FaultLines pattern; made jacket and undershirt.

I have been watching your videos and love your style. I am falling in love with Tina Givens because of you This is off topic but I understand that you also knit. Have you heard of Churchmouse yarns. Their patterns speak to my soul and if you haven’t seen anything from them I highly recommend. I live in their modern wrapper, the pattern was expensive but worth it.

YES! I love Churchmouse yarns! I've made one of their sweaters and their sock pattern is my go-to!

The whole outfit looks great! Do you think the double gauze pants will wear well? I wouldn’t have thought the cloth would be sturdy enough. How large do the Japanese patterns run? I’m a size US 22 and I love the patterns in that book, but I wouldn’t want to purchase it if the patterns don’t include my size. I looked at several book sellers but wasn’t able to find this information. The cardigan is so cute. What pattern is it?

I think the double gauze will be fine in this pattern but only because it's VERY loose. I wouldn't make a fitted pant in double gauze. This one is almost like a skirt as for the Japanese patterns the generally don't go very big size wise BUT they are always oversized and usually pretty easy to alter. That said, if you want a size 22 US they will not be in the book as is. Hope that helps.

Thank you Pamela they are Lofina. www.lofina.com You can sometimes find them in the US if you don't want to order from Denmark but the shipping isn't too bad and they're pretty quick.

Just a comment on the long sleeve version, I can imagine them gathered rather than pleated. I think that would make them less chunky looking. But its an interesting style, just a little bit different to whats out there.

I totally agree. After I posted this I realized I"ve made a top similar to this only with gathered sleeved instead of pleated and I really like it. The gathering makes all the difference

I love the blue. After a lifetime of knitting, i am learning to crochet. Your sweater is adorable. Is there a pattern for that?

Boy, Catherine really had problems with this, didnt she? I know a few people, including me, gace her some suggestions how to fix it but she was really over it. I like it on you but Ive never seen a sleeve shaped like that, especially not a dropped shoulder seam. Its cery odd and I cant umagine why its designed like that. Youre right, those full sleeves with a large bust are pretty intense. Intense like a kinebacker, lol! I look so huge when Ive tried those statement sleeves...scary huge! Love the pants and Im going to look at that book right now. The oatterns are always too small for me but they make great inspirations..

yeah a lot of the Japanese pattern books are great for inspiration but not always for the actual pattern. OMG totally laughing at "linebacker" !!
