Both are pretty dang good patterns. Super hot cores for sure. I did get a kick out of Jake talking about the 20ga being a heavier option now that the 28ga has grown in popularity. I guess I am just a little biased carrying a 10ga. Great job guys. 👍🏻

7oz difference between the two guns... Splitting hairs as far as weight on the guns. 20 gauge has more ammunition and payload options, as well as aftermarket choke options... Im not knocking the 28... I love shooting it. Just thinking out loud.
@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA Жыл бұрын
That may be true but more options doesn’t always mean it’s better it provides more tinkering, that sa28 in my honest opinion doesn’t even need an aftermarket choke, that stock 520 is filthy across the board with tss from 1 1/4 Oz to 1 5/8 Oz payloads Same with the tristars as it’s the same gun essentially 🤣🤣

@@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA meh,,,, one can do MORE with a 2 3/4” - 3” 20ga than a 2 3/4” 28ga. A 20’s payload can shrink and get smaller with minimal recoil or compete rather closely with payload of a 12ga 2 3/4” shell. But the 28 can never get any heavier payload if needed. Ammo options with the 20 are just superior when compared to a 28. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Beretta 687 SPIII in 28ga. It’s a fun gun.

Both patterns were funky like Big Reds ass crack! I personally like the 20 better. Once Rossi makes a 28 I'll probably make the switch. I like to move, and prefer the light weight booms. The recoil of the Rossi 20 is insane. Remember 👦 and 👧 BHKB BEARD HITS KILL BIRDS BHM BEARD HITS MATTER BCO 4 LIFE 30K ALL DAY LFG!

I have that same Beretta in 20ga and the same Mossberg turkey in 20 ga also. Happy with how they both pattern. Mossberg is the primary and the beretta will be a backup if needed. At this time I have no desire to get a 28 ga but when I do it will probably be a Beretta or franchi.

I agree to an extent BUT increasing payload size doesn’t always mean getting the optimal pattern out of the setup sometimes it can be the exact opposite… most of the time actually I’ve seen smaller 28 gauge 1 1/4 payloads out pattern 1 5/8 Oz payloads time & time again and that goes for in 410, 20 & 12 gauge as well (different payload weights of course)
