Tim has an incredibly wholesome teaching manner! This is a great example of how to deal with people who want to learn about firearms but maybe aren’t the most experienced. Not saying Heather isn’t experienced just commenting on Tim’s demeanor

Great video for new shotgun owners to watch and look back on when going to the range before buying random boxes of shells. Heather handles that shotgun better than a lot of guys I've seen trying to shoot!! Keep these videos coming!!

Excellent video, lots of great information presented in an uncomplicated way. Any upside to shooting off a bench rest to take out the shooter's impact (not that "baby girl" didn't do a great job !) ?

Very good topic & teaching. The only thing I see is sight over bore. Sighted in at 15 yds but need to aim slightly higher at closer distance to get shot impact at desired apot because of tall, adjustable sights on her particular shotgun.

It's good your 1301 cycles that Fiochi 1350. Mine will not cycle Hornady reduced recoil. No big surprise Beretta warns against reduced recoil in the 1301.

THANKS FOR A GREAT VIDEO; HEATHER SHOWS GREAT CONFIDENCE AND EASE. MY PREFERENCE IS AN EIGHT INCH PATTERN AT 15 YARDS FOR HOME DEFENSE. I REALLY LIKE THE FIOCCHI EXACTA 9 PELLET NICKEL PLATED #00 BUCK SHOT AT 1325 FPS (12HVOOBK) AS IT PATTERNS WELL WITH 18.5 INCH CYLINDER BORE ESPECIALLY MY FIRST EDITION BERETTA 1301 TACTICAL. MONTHS AGO FIOCCHI SOLD OUT OF THE NEW 8 PELLET #00 BUCKSHOT AT 1325 FPS (12BK008) WHICH MAY PATTERN EVEN BETTER. HAVE YOU SEEN IT? (ALL CAPS ARE EASIER TO READ AND TYPE PLUS I'M HARD OF HEARING):-)

loading shells with the camera guy down range (at the bench) @6:45 just feels wrong, even if it's 'safe'. I don't know how the 1301 internals work, but I've had long guns slam fire on me before so maybe I'm just extra cautious.
@KaylaLLindsey2 жыл бұрын
He isn't in front of the muzzle at all and the camera is zoomed in so he is actually further to the side of the end of the barrel than it may appear on screen. As a general rule birdshot and buckshot spread at about 1 inch per yard so just being close by doesn't put you in any danger.

Odd to see patterning a shotgun off handed? Introduces so many variables. Why not seated or prone using a rest?
@Hamish_Whitehaven Жыл бұрын
do you shoot seated or prone in a sd situaiton ?...
