I didn't understand what you mean at 6:17 when you say to fold the pleats toward the Hem or towards the waist. Why would that change on the paper pattern?

@@emanuelepesa578 You have to cut the dart shape to align the seam after stitching up. And this shape could be different depending on which direction you fold the dart. I have a video explaining about this.

what if we don’t want an elastic waistband? how would we adjust the pattern?

You can make dart or pleats on the waist to fit the waistband!
