I'm gonna guess the reason for Flamigo's shiny being a slightly pinkish white is based on the fact that the pink of real flamingos are from what they eat. If they don't get enough nutrition, they will start losing the pink until they turn about the colour of the shiny. If you look up pics of flamingos you can usually see some individuals displaying some colour loss.

In 2009 I saw all of the Bronx Zoo Flamingos and they where all completely white.

It’s similar to salmon who when farmed will turn grey due to the lack of krill Through usually they will be artificially dyed it with axanthin though it’s banned in the UI as is all farmed salmon

A major benefit that the new breeding mechanic the mirror herb brings for shiny hunters (especially for the once who battle competitive) is that they no longer have to hunt for a Pokemon they already own because their old once got outdated by a important egg move they should have in their move set.

The Tauros shinies invert their main body and neck fur colours so their body changes from dark grey to black and the fur on their necks turns dark grey, it's not easy to notice on their own but if you put a shiny next to a non-shiny you'll see it

Honestly, if a shiny Tauros ever appears in my game, I can pretty safely say there’s no way I’ll notice it unless it charges into me. Because not only is the difference SO hard to spot, but with how aggressive they are, those fools won’t even give you the TIME to stop and check if they’re shiny or not-if you slow down, they are coming for your ass

The flamingo shiny is brillant: they usually are pale pink when they don't eat shrimps, so this is the actual usual color of a flamingo

They started choosing shinies in Gen 6. Gen 2 was when shinies were introduced. It would be pretty hard to make a shiny pokemon in the black and white days of gen 1. (No matter what people say you can't shiny hunt in gen 1.)

Well technically the legendaries in gen 1 can be shiny because of a weird thing with stats so if you transfer gen 1 legendaries with specific stats it will be shiny

The difference between a regular Gholdengo and a shiny Gholdengo is that the little lines on it are a bit of a lighter tint. Same with its pre evolution. It may be a small change, but it is a change.

Apparently from what I’ve heard Miraidon and koraidon shinies are based on the blue eyes white dragon and the red eyes black dragon someone at nintendo thought it would be funny

They made so many shinies that look scarcely any different than the originals, and then removed the sparkle and sound in the overworld, thus making it so much more difficult to find them. My first shiny was a Paldean Tauros that charged at me while I was heading for Team Star's Fire base, and I honestly just caught it to see why it had sparkled upon entering combat, as I did not believe it was a shiny until I saw the mark in the summary screen.

And tauros is one of the more noticeable changes It’s why I’ve just decided to egg hunt so many (plus all the raid exclusive mons) It’s such a same ditto cannot be hatched At least they are easy to identify though being shiny isn’t displayed anywhere

The Gimmighoul shiny just changes the roaming form's color inside the chest and Gholdengo has a very slight shading difference and changes the lines on it's textures (silver to gold iirc). Essentially no difference but there is a slight difference.

To technically explain what happens for gimmighoul and gholdengo's shinies, gimmighoul goes from silvery bluish white to solid white, gholdengo's eyes change That being said, yeah they are atrocious Also personal opinion, Nacli's shiny should have been made pepper rather than pink salt

shinies were not chosen in gen 2 the shinies were a colour error when mixed with specific IVs that interacted with the code, ever since then they allowed the shinies and the shinies colours were always randomized until gen 6 which is there GF started personalizing the shinies

you do not understand the beauty of tankathon this Pokemon is the reason why we don't have Corviknight taxi service, the reason why tankathon shiny looks like that is because it hunts down Corviknight and that's the colour of its shiny form

I think the reason the F-Paradox Pokémon hss their shiny chosen, was because they are prototypes. Prototypes ain't got no paintjob and shouldn't be for the world to see. But I would've loved something like gold, copper, bronze or a carbon. Or just give us a few bottles of spray paint to choose for ourselves, GameFreak!

Im pretty sure this is a good place to say it but once I got a shiny in sword and shield and it was so bad I didn't even flinch because of it I think it was a vullably and it was such a bad shiny. One thing I actually learnt is that they turned garchomp and gengar to black shinies so they are better.

I like Miraidon, Annihilape (Better than regular Primape Shiny at least), Rabsca is cool, it gives me Egyptian vibes , I also like Clodsire's shiny a lot. Tatsugiri's really cool too, it looks dipped in soy sauce I like Aroboliva's line shinies but could have been better ngl, but I really like Shiny Garganacl 7:31 I like Lokix's shiny, it isn't pure Yellow and looks kinda like a real grasshopper's colors as said in the video Also, I LOVE Glimmet and Glimmora's Shinies PS: I don't mind Shiny Grafaiai, Shiny Fidough line (actuallykinda like it), Shiny Flamigo, Quequaval, Toedscool, Kilowattrel line (actually like it slightly more than Shiny Staraptor) and Shiny Roaring Moon

I want to offer a defense of Tauros's shiny. They actually are different, but it is difficult to tell without looking at it side by side with the non shiny version. The shiny have black bodies and gray fur tufts but the normal have gray bodies and black fur tufts. I don't think they're incredible or anything, but they do actually change and not in a minor way, just with muted colors, so I think they deserve to be in the C or B tier.
