6:10 Oh no, Patterz, this is just classic Demonology type stuff. In demonology these are the 7 princes of Hell, each representing a Sin, and all Vivzie did was take that concept and put her own twist, of course. And yeah, Lucifer and Satan in demonology are surprisingly different demons, yes.

Something else to note: Beelzebub is also sometimes used as a synonym for the devil. A modern example is in, of all things, Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. “Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me.” Basically saying “The devil has a demon specifically for me.”

Yes, Fizzaroli is an imp. There was a robotic version of Fizz in Loo-Loo Land, which worked as a clown/entertainer at the titular theme park from the episode until it died in a battle with Blitz.
@FrostedMike22 күн бұрын
I think Fizz being in higher position is the fact he is a celebrity and an influencer. Society placed him in higher in hierarchy because he is very successful for an imp. Fizz also have close ties with one of the deadly sins being Asmodeus, and even Mammon until he quit the entertainment business. Fizz has social and political influence and he outmatch all imps in this regard, he is not strong in terms of raw power. Having the absolute king of lust falling in love with you is quite an achievement.
@lucagz648122 күн бұрын
A note about the hierarchy shown in the video: the images used are from when Helluva Boss first started, this is why Robo Fizz is present on the "Hellborn" level of the hierarchy instead of Imps and Hellhounds.

It's worse actually, in the Bible it never once says that snake is lucifer, the closest we get is Satan is the " snake if old " in revelations, but Satan and lucifer are different entities in the Bible altho most don't know that, and in the Torah the Hebrew Bible Satan just means deceiver, as any entity that deceives, so the snake being called Satan could mean it was just a deceitful snake, would explain why God punished the snake by making it slither on it's stomach and not lucifer or Satan for it.

@lorekeeper685 yea, to be fair it's kinda funny if it's just a random snake, makes revelations story of " the snake of old becoming a multi head dragon " hilarious, MF got so pissed at his legs being yoinked, not only did he regrow them, he grew 2 new heads, wings, several times the size, and fire breath, also to be funny in the Torah and Jewish religion, hell doesn't exist, if you die and you where shit you just went to a dark void away from God with others, not as a torcher but you get what you wanted separation from God, also heaven has much more of an open door policy as even non believers could make it to heaven as long as they where good people, if you could go to heaven at all, some texts in the Torah teach that all humans go to the dark void regardless, so 🤷♀️, still sounds nicer than the Christian version of events.

My favorite episode of Hazbin Hotel is Masquerade. It’s the hardest episode to watch, but that’s what I love about it. There’s great action in the penultimate scene, cute Chaggie moments sprinkled in, hilarious quotes that always make me bust laughing… but then you have the best parts of the episode in terms of writing and animation, those being 1. The scene in Angel’s dressing room when Valentino beats Angel, (among also touching him inappropriately). 2. Poison. The song itself is devastating enough on its own, but then you add the visuals from the episode, showing all of Angel’s SA that he suffers while at work, by both other porn actors and also Valentino. 3. Angel’s mental breakdown after Husk rejects his advances 4. Angel finally letting his walls down for Husk, exposing his pain that he suffers due to his abuse 💔😭 It’s such an emotional roller coaster of an episode and the best parts of the show are devastating each time, no matter how many times I watch the episode. It’s to the point where I actually have to pause the episode after the scene in Angel’s dressing room to compose myself before continuing because that particular scene always has me crying because of how heartbreaking it is seeing and hearing Angel getting beaten and verbally threatened by Valentino.💔😭

And then we have episode 6 making a gang r**e joke with Pentious I don't think Vivienne is sure whether she wants it to be a serious topic or another joke material
@cassandraspoelhof375223 күн бұрын
@ Yeah that joke was quite off-color, but personally I don’t think anything actually happened to Sir Pentious. I personally found his line to Cherri Bomb to be the funniest quote in the episode, although it was sad to see him lose his confidence and claim he was going to do it with everyone. I guess that would be considered dubious consent because he said something he didn’t actually mean after losing his nerves. He came out of the room completely fine, so it’s not like he was actually assaulted. And I’m not saying I think a joke like that would always be okay, it really isn’t okay, and I can understand being on the fence about it. What I don’t agree with is people attacking Viv on social media for the choices she makes, such as the backlash that Poison got where people say it glorifies SA. That is just bullshit. It doesn’t glorify the situation at all, but also it doesn’t sugarcoat things and shows every bit of suffering Angel goes through when filming. I mean, at the end of the shoot, we see Angel in just his robe, clearly terrified, as he locks himself in his dressing trying to catch his breath and compose himself, but then he sees Vox and Valentino talking about something below, and they both notice him but they head up to Valentino’s room and then afterwards Angel collapses to his knees in his devastation and ends the scene in tears as the scene fades away.
@tmtorsmth23 күн бұрын
@@cassandraspoelhof3752 Poison definitely doesn't glorify SA in any way, I agree with that. It's just that Angel Dust's character is kind of confusing to me. As Angel himself constantly harasses everyone around him, especially Husk. But when Angel gets harassed it becomes an actual big deal as if Husk wasn't uncomfortable with Angel's behavior. And unlike the pilot Angel, Blake Roman was given a task to sound as horny as possible as if it's not just a facade, but if he's actually enjoying being like this. Like, yeah, Sir Pentious seemed pretty fine after that one time, but I could bet that if it wasn't a one-time gag, the snake boi would've been as traumatized lol
@cassandraspoelhof375223 күн бұрын
@ Well, thankfully Angel doesn’t make passes at Husk anymore. The only reason he did that was to reclaim some of his bodily autonomy that he’s lost over his many years of abuse he’s suffered. It doesn’t excuse his earlier actions but it makes them understandable. I’ve read many comments from fans of the show that have been SA victims and they can relate to Angel Dust and his destructive coping mechanisms, including making passes at someone even after they express their disinterest. Again, Angel’s actions towards Husk in the first four episodes are inexcusable, but they’re also understandable, especially if many people that are real life SA victims, can say they can relate to him.
@alejandradasilva199922 күн бұрын
@@tmtorsmth Actually Angel's character fits his story to a tee. He didn't not only "pushes boundaries" as Husk said, but he is quite aggressive and dismissive (he literally threw a bottle near him on the bar, and even more obviously he shoved Vaggie to the side after storming out when all she was doing was.... walking there) all traits that can be found on his own abuser, just escalated to an uredeeamble level. Is the cycle of abuse, pretty much. And despite it seeming like not a big deal in the first three episodes, just a "oh he is horny and awful, this is hell hahaha" gag, the last time we see it it DEFINITELY was not a joke (listen to the change of music in the bar scene. it goes from this sultry jazz that accompanies Angel around to a more suspenseful tune) it was a whole ass mental breakdown. It was a cry for help. Angel is what we call Hypersexual- an copying mechanism where someone that suffered from repeated sexual assault goes to own back their own sexuality- and it can end up really badly for the person and others involved (Mascarade literally implies Angel lets other take advantage of him -"If I end up broken I won't be his favorite toy anymore"-) he is a mess, and he does that to protect himself. Husk being so honest to him at the end of Mascarade let him know he doesn't have to act that way anymore, at least not around them ("None in that hotel cares who you are") and thus....that is what happens lmao Angel still makes sex jokes after Mascarade but he is not pushing himself onto others anymore and overall much more friendly, although still a bit cynical and reserved (The start of episode 7) and since you mention Blake's acting- is very clear he was meant to act like that when Angel had his facade on, since out of his voice is a lot more natural.

For the record, The Devil and Lucifer aren't the same person. The mix up comes from a mistranslation from Hebrew. They are both referred to in the Torah as "The Satan", in Hebrew Satan simply means adversary. Also, Biblical Adam can catch these hands. He blames Eve for him eating the apple, but it was SUPPOSE to be his job to TEACH EVE RIGHT FROM WRONG. Sounds to me like he got caught slacking and didn't wanna own up to it.

6:00 So it turns out, "Satan" isn't a name so much as it is a title or position. It's a Hebrew word translating to "accuser," and functions in the sense of the prosecution in a court case. The Old Testament actually suggests that "the accuser," i.e., the satan, was an angel tasked with seeking out people's doubts and imperfections. This can be seen in the Book of Job. The New Testament introduces the concept of "the devil" (from the Greek diabolos, meaning "slanderer"), which is likewise more of a general description than an actual specific entity. In ancient Middle Eastern folklore, demons were minor spirits that weren't necessarily evil but operated outside the authority of the creator god. Over time, they were later lumped together with the concept of a prime evil entity. This idea of a singular devil may have been inherited from Zoroastrianism, which featured a similar figure of "pure evil," known as Angra Mainyu or Ahriman. This evolution of demonology is reflected in texts like the Lesser Key of Solomon, a grimoire containing a section called the Ars Goetia (Greek for "The Art of Sorcery/Summoning"). This text details spells for summoning the lords and princes of hell. Though attributed to Solomon, it was written centuries later and based on similar traditions rather than any historical connection to Solomon himself. Lastly, "Lucifer," which translates to "Morning Star," was originally used as a taunt against the king of Babylon in Isaiah 14:12. Christians later reinterpreted this verse as a reference to the devil. Interestingly, Jesus also referred to himself as the "bright morning star" in Revelation 22:16, demonstrating the symbolic and fluid nature of the term. It's a complicated mess because a lot of people make up their own interpretations about how these names are related, and when you mix people with differing views together, things get muddled pretty quickly.

Ya know, Jesse and Ultimate Spider-Man (the show, unfortunately) have had an episode together. I unironically liked Jesse abit before seeing the episode and unironically liked Ultimate Spider-Man (the show, unfortunately I haven't been even introduced to the comics yet at this point), and I was perhaps one of the five people in the world the crossover was meant to please. Also, Daredevil and She-Hulk technically, Supergirl and Flash, Arrow and Flash, DC Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow and Flash, and Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. Kinda wish there was more Daredevil in all of the aforementioned shows. Also, get informed on DID and watch the Moon Knight show. Even if you've seen the comics, if you understand DID's poor representation in media, you'll at *_MINIMAL_* love Moon Knight for being good about that alone, even if you don't like any other aspect, which you will like, but just incase you want to even think about entertaining the idea of conservatism of the original versions if Moon Knight, just remember there was a character named the Black Bomber, which was a Nazi in Hulk-esc Blackface, meant to be DC's first black representation character, and understand that the Moon Knight show is, at the worst anyone could ever possibly somehow see it, what Black Lightning was compared to that idea, again, because of representation alone. It's good on its own merits, just, don't play devil's advocate for how Moon Knight used to be written, because how Moon Knight used to be written includes how DID used to be written for Moon Knight. Although, I think there are afew good comic lines, but liek, still, compared to the show, even the best of those are bad. Oh, and uh, DID was done really well with Hulk and Bruce Banner in Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, but I think I recall you might've seen that on your own time or something?
