Greevil being evil shocked me so much when I was little for a different reason. When I first saw him, I thought, "He looks obviously evil, which means he can't possibly be evil because that's just what the game wants me to think." Of course, that lead to the inevitable, "What?! He actually is evil?! This is blowing my mind!"

playing the Japanese version truly puts me in confusion because most if not all the names were changed. Greevil's name in the Japanese version is Deathgold (デスゴールド) and that does sounds weird compared to Greevil (Great Evil ?)

I was so unprepared that my brain decided to just gloss over it. Even now, I try thinking about it and my brain is like, "Did that happen? Odd. XD: Gale of Darkness is not even close to the darkest Pokemon game when we have had Ghetsis manipulating N into being a freak without a human heart, Team Flare trying to exterminate all Pokemon, and Lusamine being an abusive mother who fuses with parasite and attempts to kill her daughter. XD is just Cypher turning Pokemon into minions.

19:38 I battled Shadow Lugia as a kid, I only catch things in normal Pokeballs - even legendaries - and I've been doing that for as long as I can remember; it's never really been that tough in any game, but I suppose it did take a while in Ultra Moon, due to the sheer number of them lol I also wrnt through the effort of catching Necrozma in a Beast Ball, which _was_ insane since it isn't considered an Ultra Beast (leaving it with 1/10 the catch rate of a Pokeball) That was in base Moon btw, not Ultra Moon

17:32 The first time I got to that point in the game I was unfazed. Why? Because I completely forgot about the first encounter with that old guy in Gateon Port. I was probably around 10 at the time and I think about two months had passed between reaching Gateon Port and getting to this point. I don't remember why it took so long, but it probably has something to do with the fact I sucked at Pokémon back then, and I also probably set the game down for a bit. Anyway, I'm also really glad this game is getting some attention, especially since it's always overshadowed by it's older brother, Colosseum. Fun reaction, as is always the case. The little skits got me laughing, especially the door one. Looking forward to your next video.

I remember playing XG. Citadark Isle honestly felt like it was never going to end. Had to go back and heal like every other fight, I was running an offensive rain team with Specs wailord and swift swim swampert/Armaldo and it took forever

Pokémon XD Gale Of Darkness was the very first Pokémon game I ever played when I was 8 years old, my friend had this game on his GameCube and I thought it was so cool and awesome! And he even let me played it and I had a lot of fun playing it, this game was so very memorable to me and I'm glad some people are playing it and appreciating it with the love it deserves! Some people never heard or played this game which breaks my heart. I really wanna play this again in the future!

Fun fact Patterzz. The original plan for this game was the final Boss and the Leader of Cipher is Wes from pokemon collosseum. After the events of the first game he took over the evil team since the character had questionable morals to begin with. But Nintendo didn't want to do the darker route.

I completely agree Patterrz, XD Gale of Darkness is much better than Colosseum. I loved it so much more when I was younger and still do. However in terms of protagonists…I do prefer Wes from Colosseum to Michael. He just seemed so much cooler plus it was so fun playing as an ex-criminal. Other than protagonists, Gale of Darkness is much better in my opinion

3:14 This was my first and favourite Pokemon game, but I haven't played in so long that I could have details wrong (so correct me if I'm wrong), but the captain, we see again in... The Port place? The place where you first run into Zook and Greevil, I think? Idk, I struggled to look it up and am too lazy to properly search. He is in a building to the left of the start and he gives you whatever item you need to get your desired eeveelution. Either that, or it's a copy pasted model of another captain fella. As for the regular sailor, there are so many, idk if it's ever brought up in any dialogues. (Then again idk if it's brought up in the captain looking person's dialogue, it's just my only time remembering seeing that model in game.)

The two dudes from SS Libra actually survive, i don't remember at what point in the game but in a new's flash (yep, those on the tv's we almost never watched) they say they found them, i'm not sure if THEY were the ones who reported the ship being abducted or if the ship's missing was what caused for them to be searched for, i think it was the first option. I'm not 100% sure tho, could've been a fever dream

Pokemon XD will always be my favorite game in the series, that is unless the eventually make a new one (not likely but still). they have one of my top two favorite villain teams (Team Rocket is 1st) and are one of few teams that Does things successfully. shame the new game went with school bullies instead of a potential offshoot of this team.
