August 1973 -- I was headed into the Air Force and a buddy of mine had a going-away pool party for me. His sister's friend, named Patti, came and belted out a couple of songs a cappella. Strong!! Right near the diving board, lol!!! She wasn't all that well known at the time but I could tell she WOULD be! Hell of a send-off into the military!!! I stayed 23 years!!
