@@patgorden5002 I don't hate Patti Labelle, I have seen her show, I've watched her roll in the dirt, I love her as a singer and as an entertainer, her voice in its prime is out of sight in terms of the power and the dramatic way in which she used it, the long twisting notes and elongated range and operatic whoops, I love it all. I am just saying that her soprano does not compare to Cissy Houstons heavenly sound on the recording of Aint No Way, and Patti's lead vocal can never compare to Aretha Franklins in terms of soul and beautiful expression and perfect pitch and tone, which makes her voice resonate like no other.

As a background singer Dexter overstepped her boundaries. She was trying to sing all the leads until Patti told Tracy to sing. Dexter had way to much vibrato for this song. Her voice did not sound good singing it. Dexter tried Patti in 60's because Patti's voice was damaged, but she would not have been able to try Patti in her 50's because Patti's voice was still in good condition. Dexter just rubbed me the wrong way. I never listened to Dexter sing again after this performance. No one disrespects my Patti.

Of course she sounds amazing. However, I'm not so crazy about the arrangement. The back up sings were actually given melodic lines of the song while Patti went off rifting into the stratosphere. It sounded like confusion during the points. I've seen her sing this better live, but she was still great here.

😱🙉🤯😵😲😳OMG, I have got to be dreaming, is this cannot be right here, I have to be hearing s***, because not only did she hit the second, Cissy Houston high note, @3:23, but I no full, and God darn well, that that Gotdurn Heffa, did not hit that Mariah Carey whistle, without even noticing or trying to, lawd have mercy, now that's a bad mother shut your mouth, right there, can't nobody touch that👱🏾‍♀️🎤🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 she has only two grammys, why Aretha has 20 something, Diana has a whole lot, like that is so crazy, she's never ever so over 10 million records of one album, and that is absolutely heart-wrenching, and when people say that they love Patti LaBelle, and she's our favorite singer, I gotta wonder do they really, because why doesn't she have the same support as her peers?, or the same stat says, the only reason she's even rich, is because she's always toward non-stop, That's Why They Call Her the Godmother of Soul, the hardest working woman is so business, because they gave her the name as the female James Brown, and that's why even to date she probably signed on a years tour, and that's a God darn shame, and so she's rich, and it's from her voice, but it's from working like a dog, is not from selling albums, and winning a lot of awards, so that she could not owe any record companies any money, and charge more in order to do her show, so she drove accepted whatever she can make, and then she just made her shows her career, and never ever ever stopped doing shows all year long, and literally at first it was to pay the bills, she had earned enough to move into a mini mansion, and she had to pay those bills, and then when she was able to pay the house off, sell it and buy a real mansion, it was about being able to live the lifestyle she deserve, but truthfully she never got that rich, to where she can do the things like Aretha Franklin or Diana ross, until the late 90s, because she never would have made it financially, to the level of Aretha and them, had she not have worked herself like a dog, I bet you even right now, she's already signed up to go on tour for a year, and she doesn't have to do all of that long touring, or at all anymore, like she might not got everything she deserved of getting, as far as Awards and things like that, but she's definitely, they sure that she is just as financially comfortable, and Rich, as all of the rest of them are, she only doing them now because she loves to be with her audience, but that was the only way that she was considered a star, and the only way that she was able to make money, unlike her counterparts, and that's a shame before God.

The resonance in her perfect pitch and tone on the Atlantic studio recordings from 1967 to 1970 have never been equaled, her gospel singing can never be surpassed, her concert voice, even through to just a few years before she passed, when she was riddled with cancer, her voice was just out of sight. All other singers eat the crumbs that fall from the Queens table.
