I got this song on 45 when I was 8 years old. I'll never forget coming home and it was playing on the stereo. Takes me back to a great time, 1975. It's been my favorite song for 33 years.

I think Paul ( and the rest of the Beatles) are just international treasures. I love their dreamy falsetto choruses. It transports me to a very happy and safe place. I know I speak for millions of people. God Bless you "Uncle" Paul for being so "amazing"...Maybe, no definitely, I'm amazed!

Is there no limit to this man's ability to produce beautiful music? I cannot believe those people who claim that John was a better songwriter are serious. Sure he was great, but Paul was more prolific and actually wrote more classics.

@bedtime4bonz Thanks for your response. McCartney was drilled in the media about this in the early 80's and did produce receipts at the time showing what there pay was. As for them being broke, that is their problem as they are the ones that did not manage their money. Again, thanks for your response.

This is not live. This is Macca and Co. synching to a recently recorded 'live' version. I'm a bassist, I know. You can't hold your hands up and still play bass. I've tried... Still, the Macca bass in this version is excellent.
@discoex115 жыл бұрын
Hi scarface71792 - I apologize if I misunderstood your comment regarding Paul's piano playing. I'm wondering why Paul indicated that he is no longer able to play the piano part for Martha My Dear - a very nice tune :-)
@discoex115 жыл бұрын
scarface71792 - um, why do you say that, based on what you heard, Paul is no longer able to play the piano part? I'm not sure whether Paul is currently doing this song in concert, and if so, whether or not he's playing the piano or the bass (which nowadays I would expect him to be up front playing bass on this song with his current band set up). However, I had not heard anything about Paul having any significant issues with performing any of his stuff live.
@dobtoronto16 жыл бұрын
interesting - how about some examples neckus?
@ghazimalik14 жыл бұрын
Paul does not include this great song in his latest live shows because the clarinette tune can not be duplicate it to the same sweet tune that it is and also because a clarinette soloist has to be included in the touring band for playing just one tune is rather redundant!

@carlpfitz The problem is he'd have WIX play the sax part on the keyboard. It wouldn't sound very good IMO. Paul needs to hire a horn section like he had with wings.

this hits very close to perfection on the studio recording, production and songwriting flawlessly married. The downfall of Beatles and wings is this: its a studio art, not a live. too much subtlety too be conveyed live. still, good performance, but you have to enhance it with your memory of the studio version. sax solo inferior
