When I hear Frank's bold voice penetrate the background at 2:54, it always sends chills up my spine. It's one of my all-time favorites because I think "my way" is the way that everyone should strive to live by. Being true to those you love in the face of challenges, following your destiny, and simply loving life.

Paul Anka is a great song writer but in the case of My Way, he was not the composer. He was the lyricist, writing the English lyrics to a melody taken from a French song recorded by Claude Francois. Details from Wikipedia: "My Way" is set to the music of the French song "Comme d'habitude" composed and written by French songwriters Claude François and Jacques Revaux,[1][2] performed in 1967 by Claude François. Its English lyrics were written by Paul Anka and are unrelated to the original French song.
