I cannot touch the sun. I cannot kiss the moon, but from the earth bound cloak of mist I can hear the sound of the voice that is the music of our universe. Paul Carrack.

One of the best vocalists in rock history. I can't believe I am the first to comment. With such a low amount of views it says a lot about how many people don't know good music these days.

People might be looking for it as "Ace", Paul Carrack was one of the great faceless vocalists of the 70's and 80's.
@sallyoneill8147
@sallyoneill8147 8 жыл бұрын
It didn't help that he was in different bands and mostly as a hired hand. I think he was just too old-looking when he made another go at a solo career in the late 80's. People will hear his voice and say, oh he sang those Mike and the Mechanics songs or he sang "Squeeze". Very few know who's singing.

I agree. Got the Lou Gramm kind of tone and power. Loved his cover of "I believe when I fall in love."

Yeah, he surely does. Except Phil Collins was on the drums. I figured out Paul Carrack from Ace joined with The Bee Gees at that concert along with Phil.

So much intensity and talent happening all at once. Paul Carrack, Phil Collins, David Sanborn, Midge Ure, et al. I wonder what it must've been like backstage pre/post show with all of these guys in the same room.

I think is the same line-uo that played Kayleigh by Marillion. Only without Fish. So, Paul Carrack, Midge Ure, Mick Karn, Phil Collins, Marillion keyboardist plus David Sanborn.
