I'm really glad to have found this video. I remember this song, I was 22. We knew nothing about Paul Davidson except that he was Jamaican. He never appeared on British TV. This song made the British Top Ten despite the fact that no-one knew who he was, he never appeared on Top of the Pops, and he was on a small label. My mates and I weren't into reggae/ska, but we loved this, and preferred it to the original by The Allman Brothers. It was proper crossover music, with the ska beat, a sort of softrock-country guitar solo, and a blues harmonica in the mix. If he'd had a big label, we might have heard a lot more of Paul Davidson. Sadly he remained an enigma. This video at least takes away part of the mystery.
