Paul Dongarra, a candidate for the Baltimore County Council, District 1, talks about how any new large-scale development projects in the county should to always attempt build on existing infrastructure rather than contributing to suburban sprawl with new projects.
Mr. Dongarra discusses the community benefits he saw when the Oella Mill was redeveloped as an adaptive reuse project.
He then discusses the many benefits and community costs that may impact greater Oella as a result of the plan for the historic redevelopment and adaptive reuse of the Ellicott Mill site that is currently under consideration by Baltimore County.
In closing, Mr. Dongarra explores some of the amendments and additions to the developer's original redevelopment plans that came about as a result of community feedback. He then explores overall impact the Ellicott mill historic redevelopment project may have on the community should the plan be approved.
