This gives James opportunity to score as much as he wants and be ball dominant with the second unit that will definitely need to produce points when starters rest. It's time to be honest about who Harden is as a player...asking him to run the show ain't his Forte, he has consistently CHOKED in the post season when he was needed...him coming off the bench should put a chip on his shoulder for post season the playoffs will need his scoring off the bench against other teams lesser players. Russ only works well with the ball, not off the ball. They will look like OKC days of Russ n KD. Harden should come off the bench so you'll have 2 or 3 of them on the court at all times. The 4 can start but Zu can't if they do. With those 4 The Clippers will need a 5 that can space and shoot. That's why The Celtics offense looks so in sync. You have 4 ball handlers in Tatum, Brown, White, and Holiday, with a 5 that can shoot, so no one is clogging the lane..... If Zu stays and starts, the team will have to go: Zu, Kawhi, PG, Mann, and Russ or Zu, Tucker, Kawhi, PG, and Russ with Harden, Powell, and Mann leading the second unit..... I like Mann and Russ on the floor with Kawhi and PG a lot! That is more similar to how it looked with Covington(the team was like a +14 with Zu, Covington, Kawhi, PG, and Russ)

Between Russ, Kawhi and George you'll get all your passing/points etc you need; they were already winning before Harden came in. No team will survive with 3-4 ball hawks on the floor at the same time. What is the weakness of most elite teams? No peaking, the answer is the Bench... Put Harden with the Bench you elevate the bench to hold the leads/increase the leads while the main sits. You really want Russ to hold the fort? If anything, Harden can come in with the mains to close out games. It's about fit, lol unless you want the concept of my turn, then your turn, then his turn... Last thought, let's say George gets hot, you honestly believe harden, Kawhi and maybe Russ will sacrifice points/padding stats to feed George in the contract season? Yes it's all connected and it's about fit... If you're honest with yourself you'll see what i mean....

We already have the evidence that Russ elevates the two star's production. End of story, end of debate. Russ's production as the #3 in the starting unit has stayed roughly the same as his production as The Lakers #3 option, only with slightly better efficiency(except at the foul line for some weird reason) Harden wanted to join this team. These three players did not go to Harden's team. It's really simple, if Harden starts get a different center and run a five out offensive system, Zu is not the right type of 5 for this set of players. When Russ is on the floor he is the lead pg, when Russ is off the floor Harden is the lead pg. If you want to run the offense you have been running, with Russ providing the pace and energy, and you want to keep Zu as your starting center, you start Terrence Mann which was the original plan before he got hurt. The same dynamics apply. This means just like Russ was a $47 mil bench sparkplug for The Lakers, Harden can be a $38 mil bench sparkplug for The Clippers. With Harden, Powell, one of either Kawhi or PG, Tucker, and Plumlee(when he returns) you actually have a competitive bench. The theory behind this is to allow the more defensive minded starting unit to create a comfortable net margin(for instance the starting unit of Zu, Covington, Kawhi, PG, and Russ had one of the top net margins in pro basketball as a group, they were destroying opponents. Granted the opponents were weak but that's not the point, the point is they defended) I am shocked Coach Ty Lue is not standing up here and saving his team from imploding! No concessions should be made for Harden! Kawhi Leonard(if he remains healthy) is the key to winning a title! PG is the second banana! Russ, Harden, Powell, Mann, Bones, Tucker, Zu, Brown, Plumlee, are all essentially role players(even though Harden and Russ are stars) Fans that did not want Harden on the squad warned about this potentially going off the rails and although it's way too early to know for sure, i do not like how Coach Lue is approaching this so far. After one tough loss he was already starting to hedge!

To break up the support core for 1 player then say ok now we have to break up more (Zu) to make it work is madness. There is a very simple way to make it work offensively it's called the triangle. I know that's a complicated system for today's NBA so you can do the Box in 1 offense but that won't work either cause that means sharing the rock. Y'all saying a bad fit look at this... Besides the triangle that would work, you do the box two on each post and two on the top and Zu at the foul line. Russ would be ok scoring 6 points, 9 assists with a win. That's the reason why he has to start. George and Kawhi MUST score 20 plus a night Harden will be looking for 20 a night, so how many possessions in a game? How many basketballs on the floor? And I am not Keen on Coach Lue; since he rode Brons coattails what has he done? He seems to be a very nice guy don't get me wrong, but Xs and Os look stretchy. If you ask me, this trade is more about looks and saving ones job. (not the player....). I know it's too early to Tell, but if the clippers are in bad shape near the trade deadline look for a possible blow up. Clipper nation is in for a bumby ride this year, have on your seatbelts and have ya drinks accessible...

For the 4 spot in a perfect world I would say get naz Reid but realistically they can get jerami grant or John Collins even if they’re kinda overpaid by trading away powell and pj who’s giving u nothing . They ard have way to many guards and the way powell generates his pts make offfense way to stagnet and pj at this point in carrear is cooked idk why clippers picked him up 🤦🏽‍♂️. Starting line up if they want a scrappy team on D Harden , kawhi , pg , grant , gafford/ drummond Starting if they need size harden, kawhi , pg , bamba , gafford/ drummond Bench : Russ , man , green/ pg , grant , cousins / bamba This is the best chance if the clippers want to win a championship as constructed they will not ! And Ty Lou gotta establish their roles Russ has to be the sixth man in order for this to work. Kawhi the first option when it’s going to count the most . Russ playing important role of having the luxury of destroying other teams second unit in that houston system of 5 out bully ball which was Russ most efficient year . Hence why I said get cousins who can stretch the floor unlike plumlee or zubac which clog up the paint including Russ defender which leads to a stagnet offense. Russ can be that guy 6moty but the offense has to be catered to is his skillset to maximize his production . Which is also why I said him not starting would be more benifical . yes pg and Russ have a connection which is why they should stagger his mintues to play alongside him in the second unit . Russ takes from kawhi game because they play at two diffrent paces . The is simple I just hope Ty lue don’t double down what he did tonight and start all 4 . And the gm gotta help Ty lue out and make some trades immmediatly !!
