I remember watching their first episode on their podcast and saying JJ would make a good coach. Now here we are today. Crazy.
@stardream7412Ай бұрын
Remember Steve Kerr jumped right into coaching (after coaching his kid's team just like JJ) and won a chip. The only difference is as a coach that probably favors 3s, Golden State had the fresh legged splash brothers. Lakers have mostly streaky shooters with 2 of their stars having old legs.

It’s dope watching JJ become a coach, especially of a team like the Lakers, after having watched his podcast for so long. The way he used to talk about the game & what he liked & didn’t like from teams, players, & coaches you could tell he was passionate & had ideas he would implement. To see him actually doing it is dope af. Don’t know why ppl were so negative about him becoming a coach

Paul George explains what it is to get the clutch gene. And why sometimes it doesn't work. Why elite players such as Harden can end up with five Points in a playoff game. Biggest mystery ever for me ; I'm still waiting for a podcast to address it
@Thurokiir1Ай бұрын
Not a gene, its a focus. No anxiety no thoughts outside of that moment, as selfish as you can possibly be. Tell yourself "Make the shot" and you do. Not a gene, a focus.

That's why it would be interesting to get the pov of NBA elite players. Like how come you just can collapse why others don't. Do they practice focus? Don't they have idk like alternative mental preparation? I know LeBron is doing yoga (or he did at some point). I'm dying to see a take on that for so long@@Thurokiir1
