@robinjames7493

Depends what kind of sport, football (real football, not American hand-egg) supporters are excellent at respect paid for players or fans that have passed away. It's surreal, 2 rival teams, a minutes silence and you can hear a pin drop. With a very small exception of course, same as the guy that shouted in the video at the start of the 2 minute silence in this video.

Normally when things like this take place, there are those few douches that just make noise during the entire thing, and people shouting to them “shut up”. But this, however, is everyone respecting a fallen musician. And almost 10 years later, it still is worth showing. Rest In Piece, Paul. Rock on in heaven.

It still fucking hurts seeing them cry years after them losing Paul. Watching them in a vulnerable state is hard, because I would rather see them laughing, happy and tearing shit up on the stage. All I want as a fan is to see them happy. But watching every single person instantly stop and have a moment of silence to honor Paul is a testament to how respectful the Slipknot fan base is, even in the dark times.

As soon as I saw his suit and bass I burst out crying :( I love how respectful everyone was here! so incredible!! I grew up loving slipknot from the age of 11 and im 31 now, I feel so happy to share the same birthday as paul :) This band is really special to me and was blown away when I first saw them on the kerrang channel haha, I love them more and more the older I get :D I also got excited when I found out I have the same name as corey's daughter (angeline) as it's not a common name, this band is so special to me and has got me through a lot of hard times in my life, Thank you guys x

I come back to this video from time to time just because it's so awesome. The level of respect is through the roof here, I love it. Something about no one talking, and seeing how a lot of people in the audience looked genuinely really sad, and then seeing the guys back stage crying makes this such a beautiful video. I've never seen so much respect at a metal show, this is fucking awesome. Rest in peace Paul Gray

@@irotac Well he used to be really good. Especially back in the day, where his lyrics where mind blowing (not in the same way as JAY Z, but still.) Is it because he's black and triggering your rock elitist temper that you hate him? You probably haven't Heard a single song. I recommend 'Cudi Montage' where he uses a Cobain sample.

the overwhelming show of respect is one of the top reasons why I love the metal community. Everyone puts their differences/opinions aside in times like this and shows that individual the respect that they have earned and deserved throughout their years in the music industry. Rest In Peace Paul, and thank you for being a part of Slipknot; a band who has had a major influence on me since 5th grade. You will always be missed and thought of with the highest amount of respect sir.

It makes me wanna cry just by watching this...I mean, I know that there's overly "wrong, f*cked, overrated" hip-hop and other sh*tty music like that right now, but this right here, is more serious than any other thing that could happen on planet earth...Paul Gray was a great guy. I mean, Slipknot inspired me a whole lot to make me try to make heavy music in the ways I can think of, taught me a lot of stuff including a way to fight back (not physically) at my enemies, and making me try to choose my path and what I should do with my life to make it better...We metalheads, are a community. I don't give a f*ck if we're weird with the crazy metal music we listen to, if we're maggots, and many other things I can think of. We will forever be a metalhead, and never leave the community...R.I.P. Paul Gray. One of the most amazing bassists (and one of the first left-handed bassists) I known ever since I started listening to Slipknot when I was 9 years old...

In fact, I really want to cry from this video. 10 years have passed since the death of Paul, I started listening to Slipknot a few years before I went to school, I could not read or write, did not understand a single word, but their music made me study, I taught for 5 years English, not only to enjoy their music, but also to understand everything they sing about. Now I’m almost 19 years old and I really regret that I couldn’t and most likely I won’t be able to get to those concerts, I won’t be able to see every member of the group ..... Eternal memory to you Paul Dedrick Gray, with love from Russia!

Nothing can ever compare to the respect that metalheads show for each other and those who deliver ass kicking music to us. Even if you're not the biggest Dio fan, the biggest Möterhead fan, the biggest Linkin Park, Chris Cornell, Avenged Sevenfold or Slipknot and the list goes on, but you will always respect those people that have lost their lives because even if you like it or not, they all took metal to another level and we all respect that in one way or another.
