President Paul Kagame, is he a liberator or a dictator? Paul Kagame the 66-year-old Rwandan president has been in power since 2000, that’s 24 years now. Before becoming President Kagame was a military officer and previously the commander of the Rwandan patriotic front (RPF) a rebel armed force which invaded Rwanda in 1990. 24 years later as President, has Kagame’s leadership proven Rwanda as a disruptive force in the region.
Kagame has been president for 3 terms now each term running for 7 years, but with the 2017 constitution amendments, he could be president up to 2034. Kagame's rule is considered authoritarian, and human rights groups accuse him of political repression. On his part, president Kagame says he advocates for a governance model focused on efficiency and accountability, with an emphasis on development over formal freedoms. What do you make of his leadership style?

He only hated by those who have ties on Genocide against Tutsi or those who wanted to use their power for their own benefit so in Rwanda his excellency is Father of Rwanda. People love him and respect him

To understand President Kagame leadership you need to have understood the Genocide against the Tutsi and also know that he was a refugee in Uganda because his family had to flee the Genocide against the Tutsi in 1959. Please research more before you do programs. They didn't invade Rwanda they went to liberate Rwanda. Because Habiyrimana had chased away Tutsis and didn't want those who were outside to return...it's the Genocide against the Tutsi. Hotel Rwanda was fake my please research

In western prescribed democracy, any african leader that has served his people more that ten years,is outrightly branded a dictator. In Africa we need dictators like Kagame. He gets the job done!! Rwanda has been transformed tremendously by this dictator,he is a benevolent dictator.if Africa had ten of these dictators, the whole continent will be transformed.long live dictator kagame!!!

You are misinforming the public honestly you should have taken time to listen to President Kagame speeches and interviews last Sunday he did one historical interview on the Genocide against the Tutsi and how the liberation took place

Hotel Rwanda movie isn’t right one to recommend though. It’s fake & biased no truth. Check Shooting dogs and you will understand even participation of UN,… or Sometimes in April. & other several movies not Hotel Rwanda please. On top of that, It’s “Genocide against the Tutsi”

I can't believe that someone closer to Rwanda is not educating themselves to understand what really happened in Rwanda. Point of correction: It is not the Rwandan Genocide; it is the Genocide against the Tutsi. Rwandans have chosen their own leader, and we are focusing on what works for us.

There is nothing wrong with President Kagame. No one disputes his transformative achievements.I'd rather we focus on his output which is more than impressive. I suspect that could be the reason on as to why his Presidency is being vilified.

Hmm, no matter how good a leader is, overstaying in power erodes some elements of fairness and gains arrogance and immunity

Actually he has done so much for his country. I like the way he speaks less but his actions speak for itself.

He is a Liberator, there's a lot of good things that he's doing in Rwanda. Lets not allow West to confuse us. Because they tend to badmouth our bold leaders. He's way better than the presidents we had in South Africa.

President Kagame is a liberator of Rwanda. Those who criticise him, they have envy on the good things that he is doing in Rwanda.

Kagame is a good president he took over in a very hard and bad time he started from scratch and look where Rwanda is now so all these years he has been to power he has done good to us and he had to be there all these years for him to leave when he has fixed everything.
