Thank you for having posted this video. It captured the moment when Paul McCartney spoke to me. Believe me. He looks at me in the crowd and says “I CAN SING IT, BY THE WAY”. My friend Stine and I brought paper signs each saying "NA". With the two of us together, it makes "Na-Na". A tradition from Macca concerts in Brazil: Paul sings 'Hey Jude' and the crowd becomes a sea of NA NA NA NA... We noted the Danes were not acquainted with this tradition. Only us and the odd couple of Japanese groupies had NA NA posters. Incidentally, the song "From Me To You" starts with "Na-na-na, Na-na-na, Na-na..." I lifted the poster before the song and this called Paul's attention. During the first five seconds of this video he spotted me with the NA posters. And then he said “I CAN SING IT, BY THE WAY”. Great moment.

It must have been such a great feeling of pride to be acknowledged. Am not a die hard crazy fan but still it must have been a really sweet lil accomplishment

@@shiv.ansh03 Haha, but it's not really a Curb moment though. If anything, it shows the remaining power of his songs, something he humbly enough simply didn't expect at age 21.

I hate how I wasn’t born in this era of music, the Beatles where geniuses at work every time they performed. Love it

Hey, I was born in 1973, and Ice to tell all their friends and girlfriends the same thing you told me. But now that I'm older than half the world being the age of 47, I saw Thomas Lee really appreciate younger people keeping beds that I grew up with an older people grow up with alive. You guys are just doing the same thing I did when I was your age and you guys keep the damn thing going and I mean a great way!

I think we’ve somehow come full circle with Paul deciding to play this live. During the seventies and early eighties, his relationship with the Beatles material was a bit ambivalent. Since then he has become more and more liberal, even playing John songs like Mr. kite. And now he performs From Me To You, which is the prototypical Lennon-McCartney song, and perhaps the most Beatlesque Beatles song they ever wrote.

3-16-2021 I think Paul made a mistake about his chord change (2:46 - 2:50) comment. He said "C to Gm", BUT, it was "C" to Am. Though what I have heard him boasting about is the F ("Call on me and I'll) to Am..(send it along" part) in the song.
@Fritjiof_Dahlgaard Жыл бұрын
He is refering to how the middle section begins on a Gm chord, which was a new place to go from C.
@backtoshallabal66622 жыл бұрын
is he singing johns part?
@strangedaysindeed92 жыл бұрын
No, since the song originally was sung in unison by them both together, apart from a few falsetto notes.
