I saw Paul perform Flowers in the Dirt tour 1st week of December at Madison Square Garden. That band was so tight, one of the best concerts I've ever heard! ❤ 🎸🎵🎵🎵😊

Yep, for sure. They were the best line up he ever had probably imo. His current band are great individual players, but they've been with him for so long now (since Driving Rain) that to my ears when they perform is feels just like their going through the motions. It's devoid of any unique vibe. Then again at 82 I'm in the grump camp that think it is time for Paul to stop performing live. Credit to him for his work ethic etc and he has very cleverly incorporated so many tricks and techniques to hide his aged voice in the mix but then I think what's the point. Most counter argue that with let him do what he wants etc, and many others say it's more about the experience than the music. However odd it may be I think music is the most important part of a, music concert and fail to understand how anyone could think otherwise. Sorry beersFilm for waffling. Buy yeah, they were terrific. Did you know at one point Paul was thinking of naming the band? He was considering the name Lumpy Trousers - thank goodness he didn't.

@@triplejazzmusicisall1883 Thank you for your waffling and no, I didnt know about the Lumpy Trousers. Probably the band said 'look Paul, we're very honoured to be in your band and all that, but we WILL quit if you name us that' 😅

@@beersFilm Agreed. As he hs aged he has been less interested in gving appropriate public appreciation and awareness for his band memebrs. My prents saw him a couple of years ago and he (probably by accident) filed to mention the band at all. Nothing not even a call out. Oh well. We had the Beatles and Wings but Lumpy Trousers and Driving Rinsers will never get the same acclaim. Have a top week.

Flowers In The Dirt is a fabulous album. One of my favourite post Beatles albums by Paul McCartney and his band. I saw this band play live at Earls Court back in the day and they were brilliant!

I love The Flowers In The Dirt lp + Tour. I saw them preform it in NYC. My band SONGS played a concert in the late 70's with the Average White Band with Hamish Stuart. Seeing + hearing this clip is very cool + brings back great memories 👏 💯 love this version of Figure Of Eight 🎶 Rock on! ArtyThan ☆♡☆

This band plus Blair Cunningham was his best post-1970 lineup.

Robbie McIntosh was the best lead guitar who played with Paul. No other player matched him.
