I am a Singer Songwriter, and it's always an honor to hear someone else play one of your own songs! The Beatles are responsible for me becoming a Songwriter, and I am still waiting to write something truly good. However, I have heard others sing along with my songs, as well as having another Musician perform one of my songs, and I assure you, it's always a rush for me.. I wonder if they had any idea, that people would still love them as much or, more 50 years later?

It sounds to me like there was autotune on Jeff Lynne's chain. I already hear people replying ''JefF LyNn doEsNT neED auTOtUne duMbAss''. It's not about what the performer needs it's about what the production wants. I've seen people like Chaka Khan and Chris de Burgh on autotune and both are more than capable singers. It's always on huge corporative shows like that. Flea's bass wasn't plug when the Chili Peppers played at the Superbowl's halftime show and he's an accomplished bassist.

I'm 72 years old now. It boggles my mind that I'm still standing in order to remember so many of these wonderful moments. When Tom Petty started in 1970 I had just gotten married at 21. And sort of never had been following Tom at all. Until now. Even though he is gone. I was into blues and Beatles, The Doors , Howlin' Wolf. Muddy Waters. Leon Russell. Dr. John of course. you know the whole bit. So this is delightful also. But I do want to lump mightily people that want to pit the artistry of one against another. Whatever the genre. Each person brings gifts to the table. You don't have to disparage someone in order to build up your favorite artist. But it just seems that that kind of an attitude has fallen under the bus in recent years. So this is terrific..... Gail in Central Florida. Saturday, March 5, 2022. Be safe. We need you. @@KennBurch Agree “no talent” is an unreasonable comment. However, in terms of talent - I think Ringo himself would rank himself a distant 4th in the final lineup of The Beatles. A couple of decent early tunes (“Boys”, “I Wanna Be Your Man”) at a time Lennon/McCartney were writing similar and had already way outpaced him. After that…”Yellow Submarine”, “Act Naturally” and worst…”Octopuss’s Garden” (on the same album that George penned “While My Guitar Gently weeps”, FFS?) Seriously I don’t know how they even let Octopuss’s Garden in… I realise that keeping up with the other three on songwriting would have been an impossible task for all but the most brilliant songwriters…but Ringo wasn’t even keeping up with average for the time, more a pub singer. That said, always loved his energy and charisma and there is an extent to which he always remained the “heart” of the band while the other three were competing to be the head. Still love Ringo.

I don’t have the tickets, gave them to my girlfriend, but I believe they cost just six or seven dollars😏 What a bargain. Growing up in the 60’s they had a tremendous influence on me and my friends, and although John and George are gone I still listen to their music. Unfortunately, I wasn't around yet to see them perform, but I bet it's an amazing memory. I have been fortunate enough to see Sir Paul in concert three times. The first was in 1989, when Linda was still alive. Saw him again around 2002 or so. Last time was around 2014 and I was able to take my son to see him. I grew up listening to the Beatles, as my Dad was a huge fan and played in a band that covered many of their songs. I've since passed that love of Beatles music onto my now adult son who is a fantastic drummer... now covering Beatles music in his band. The music of the Beatles will no doubt live on for generations to come! ❤✌🎸❤

@@robertlucey825 As a Music Producer for the BBC i can tell you this is an outstanding live performance...No lipsync! Jeff Lynne is the best live performer i have ever seen as a musician and singer. But he is not a showboat, he lets his music do the talking.

Ringo Starr is flawless. Incredible for someone his age. His voice hasn't changed, drumming is fine. This guy doesn't stop.

I arrived in 1949... so I, too, was blessed to be in my teen years for the era of the incomparable Beatles... when the world changed and it was a fabulous time to be alive and musically conscious... The Sixties.
