Thanks for posting this! Love this a lot but I don’t understand their choosing to play Helter Skelter out of the hundreds of other songs that have a warm place in our heart for them. But it was truly great to see them well and playing together 60+ years later.

Well Ringo did have blisters on his fingers. Plus Sgts. has a thumping beat that Ringo crushed

Sir Paul had a 2009 Hofner bass specially made for him with the Union Flag painted on it. It rightly resides in the Beatles Museum in Liverpool now.

Back when music was made by real musicians, not auto-tune, marketing managers, computers. Paul and Ringo have more talent in their 80s than all today's pop stars combined.

nonsense. Older people said the same about The Beatles in the 60s vs Nat Cole or Sinatra or Patti Paige or whatever. Its just todays music isnt made for us. Its made for the young of today and how they view life. Youre insulting the things that todays young people love, and will look back on.
@HansOster-d2y2 сағат бұрын
@@OlafProt Sorry, but if you are a musician, producer, or even a musicologist like Rick Beato, you know The Beatles made real music, without auto-tune and other fakery, backed by classical instruments, with deep lyrics and a sincere attempt at art. Modern pop stars are products, unable to perform organically without technical trickery, and their lyrics, styles, and tunes are mostly fake, shallow, consumerist, vile, unethical, stolen samples, full of profanity and sleaze. If you can't see the difference between real musicians and quality art, versus the machine product released today, I feel sad for you.
@OlafProt2 сағат бұрын
@@HansOster-d2y I feel sad for you too, always looking back. Never looking forward. I was a big follower of Rick, but this whole 'real music' thing just gets boring. Its like FM radio in the 70s that wouldn't play punk, or MTV early 80s that wouldn't play hip-hop, they only played what they saw as 'good wholesome artistic music'. Such nonsense. Why does one have to be a musicologist, musician or producer to 'appreciate' good music. But hey thats our differing opinions isnt it.

If you look at all the set lists for Got Back going back to 2022, he’s always played Helter Skelter as part of this concert, Sgt Peppers looks like a 2023 addition, and they’re always played together. Who knows, maybe he just prefers it!

Perhaps as long as people keep selling out his shows. Not many 82 yr olds, or guys half his age, could stand up there and perform 40 songs at any level.
