In my youth, I never missed an episode of Pee Wee's Playhouse. Reubens was a genius and was so amazing as Pee Wee as well as several other characters. I think of him and remember much happier times. Truly a sad day.

The coolest thing about this, is seeing Pee Wee R-rated, and in your face, and busting comedy chops alongside the likes of Cheech and Chong. Looking back it’s so wonderful to see the early incarnation of Pee-Wee in this. As a child in the 80’s, I like most kids, didn’t know Pee-Wee wasn’t the real person and it wasn’t until the 90’s when I was a teenager and discovered, like most teenagers, the Cheech & Chong movies and Paul Reubens playing someone else and again this early version. Sadness for the loss of a true comedy icon. RIP Paul thanks for always making us laugh.

As I think, most would agree, the Cheech and Chong films got progressively less funny, but Paul Reubens was definitely the bright spot in this one. He was perfect for the role of the smart ass desk clerk. Laughed my ass off when he started yelling “Ataca.”

The older you get in this life the more you start to see everything and everyone you grew up along side change and pass on. It's not all bad tho. That is what kids are for. As much as life takes when you get older you see so much life slowly taking the place of the old. My kids enjoy Pee Wee. And they get all of his work.
