I can say from my year's as a teen , and now in my 50's that with life's highs and lows ...I was truly blessed to have had such a great writer ,player of many instruments and a powerhouse and unmatched and unmistakably talented lyricist with several bands and a Solo career that shall echo through eternity !

I saw Paul and his wife in a recent interview in Oct 2023. He had a stroke in 2013 and again in 2019. With the last one he couldn't even talk, much less sing. He had surgery on one of his carotid arteries and started recovering. He seems to be doing well, but no more live concerts. He's come out with his first solo album in 25 years though! I'm so glad he's doing well, I admire him so much. He never partied or went wild. A friend's older brother told him when he was 14 that if he got famous, to be on time, do the job well, get the money, and go straight home. Four yrs later at 18 yrs old, there he was, putting that advice into action. He kept it up and it sure paid off! Paul will never see this, but: Paul, I love your voice, your style, and your sexy love songs that both men and women can enjoy. You're amazing!! I've followed you since The Firm and could tell your awesome voice anywhere, so I kept following you to now. I won't say till the end because your music will never end. Thank you and God bless you and your family!

Unbelievable how great this song is. Free were a little before my time but that voice and sound holds up better than anything from the 80’s Metal I grew up worshipping. I watched a documentary on Lynyrd Skynard and pleased to hear that Free was far more an influence on them then the Southern Rock bands they were associated with. The new generation kids is so ripped off with not having music and true rockstars like this..
