Just think about all of the wrong you have done in your life and imagine if you walked around every day and everyone reminded you of that and talked bad about you because of your mistakes. Walking another person shoes. Like I have walked in your shoes because the same happened to me, but I would completely, let that person win by giving what happened any energy for the rest of my life. That person will deal with God for what he did to me.

@@LegacyByT there wasn't always a registry but it came about for a reason. The recidivism rate for child molesters is in the upper 90 percentile. It would not be a stretch to say the child molesters almost always re-offend. Given that statistic, absolutely the public surrounding these predators should be made aware of their presence for the rest of their life.

@@8ofwands300so what? Does that mean if I am a victim of sexual assault I can get a moral pass to claim another victim? If someone steals from you can you then steal from someone else? Being a victim is irrelevant.

I didn't get that sense from him that he was unrepentant. Remember he claims to have also been molested as a child. How many family molesters - fathers, step fathers, grandfathers, walk free? Too many. He had sex with a teenager and spent 15 years in prison for it.. Absolutely unacceptable behavior but should he be punished for life? Of course he should not be allowed near minors but I believe he has a right to build a life for himself and perhaps find a way to atone and give back productively to society.

@@virg0_lem0nade I already said I didn't interpret him the way you did, though I didn't find him particularly likeable.. In the South you can get married at 15 in some states. Pedophilia, by the way, (look it up), describes sexual attraction to prepubescent children. Being attracted to teens is something different.... But we are fast and loose with our use of terminology in our society these days. What bothers me is that this guy gets cr@p in the comments, while people who participated in murder, also featured in this series, get nothing but praise, encouragement and support.

Paul Jesus Christ forgiveness is all you need. His acceptance and His open arms. Society may call you unclean, but if you've repented, God will separate you from your sins as far as the East is to the West! Society acts like there's different degrees to sin, but sin is sin. We all need forgiveness and grace. I feel terrible for the victim and pray for them as well, but the whole Host of Heaven REJOICES over 1 sinner that repents! I'm rejoicing with Heaven on your behalf!

I see in the comments that everyone is (understandably) not very forgiving of Paul. Ppl can commit murder and no one stigmatizes them like this. Imho this "attitude" is not working. We have no fewer sexual assualts etc than we used to. Isn't the ultimate goal to decrease these horrific crimes? Maybe we as a society need to reflect and attempt to change our perspectives in order to effect change i.e. less victims.

Two things about the registry: 1 - Do you have released murderers living close to you? Why are so many of us freaked out when sex is involved? Yes, murders get released and live in our neighborhoods. 2 - When you're looking to identify possible dangers near you or in a neighborhood you might move to... All offenders had their first offense before landing on the register and not all offenders have been caught. The register might give you a false sense of security and leave your child in view of a horrible person. You shouldn't live in fear but always keep your eyes open and your guard up.
@uncledoc97852 ай бұрын
No love or trust or grace or forgiveness or anything for sex offenders. And why does everybody wanna come on here with their religious bullshit.
