Saw him many times with Stuff ,The Gadd Gang He was my favorite piano player all time and his keyboard work ,Hammond/ electric piano on dozens of recordings from Areatha to Simon is stunning.I cried when he died

This was for MTV Unplugged. Paul didn't plan doing late in the evening because he thought it wouldn't work unplugged, so this was improvised as an encore. Simply amazing.

I love the way that Mr. Simon loves and trusts the musicians that he works with. I love the way that the musicians with him ( whom, I would surmise) have never played with each other as a group, smile--and toss their ego aside. @jabrother When I was a kid, my mom used to bring me to every Paul Simon concert that came to town. She'd always point out "Mr. T" on piano, and in some small way, we shared in the sorrow of his death the next time Paul came to town without him. Rest in peace, Richard Tee. We loved you.
