This series aims to make Bach's Goldberg Variations more comfortable to play on piano. Urtext notation edits and fingering suggestions featured in each video for download in my new edition:

Variation 2 can be played comfortably on one keyboard. It is in 2/4 time, 3 parts and has 2 repeats. I've re-grouped the notes in bars 11 and 16 as shown here.

Variation 2 can of course be played at many tempos, I've chosen 88 a crotchet beat. There are numerous ornamentation possibilities for this variation but I'll save this subject for separate video specifically on ornamentation in Goldberg Variations as a whole.
Here is Variation 2 in an overhead keyboard view. I begin with a detached touch then repeat with a legato touch, both times.
When practicing a variation separately, occasionally run it together with the preceding variation, like this.
