Very "in the pocket" kind of player!" I love The drummer from the "The funk Brothers" band from the 50's. They didn't get any recognition until decades later. They played as the house band for all the greats in Detroit at, Motown Records, I believe, was the name of the recording studio. The Temptations, Smokie Robinson, Gladys Knight and the Pips, The Shirelles, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Muddy Waters, Etta James, etc etc etc....they all used the Funk Brothers Band! I kind of date myself huh?

Music is not a noise with misplaced random sounds. Have you ever heard a spanish person speak so beautifully as they roll one word in to another, or a frenchman, englishman, or asian music put to a classical dance. Well if you have then you know that they didn't kill the messenger, they became a past and present, messenger for the future. They listened, studied, and evolved to say more with the same language.
