Tuba Tune.. but it's the best tuba in the World!

About one week ago I had the opportunity to play a recital at the wonderful English organ in Gackenbach, Germany. This pipe organ is an absolutely wonderful instrument which also features one of the best Tuba stops I've ever heard! Give it a listen and let me know what you think! I'm playing my own Tuba Tune in b-Major - Paul Fey Organist
The reeds and Bombarde 32' in the Pedal as well as the Mixture sound absolutely fantastic as well and will be added in the second half of the video! There will be many more recordings of this organ - I can't wait to hear what you think! Oh.. and of course the acoustics of the church are fantastic. Wow!

The end of that piece is a forceful lesson in two things: 1) how to resolve a chord progression back to tonic 2) remove every spider from the rafters Btw, the sock game just keeps getting better and better

A wondrous , uplifting piece. I thought it was written by one of the ‘greats’. Very mature, slightly baroque cadences-but I know nothing about music, really. Highly accomplished talent.

That's a delightful piece. In England b is of course B-flat, but it'd be unusual for the Great organ to be played on the bottom Choir manual. The stop knobs would not be stacked so high but arranged side by side. The tuba is very nice, but the tubas I really like are those with more nasal tone and certainly not bright.😊
