in 1967 Lesney wanted to show his development and expansion all over the world. Matchbox advertised, among others, Mustang with manual control and office accessories for adults.

I was four in 1967. The King Size models were always birthday and Christmas presents; the 1-75 range, though, were things bought with pocket money, or a surprise gift if you had been good, or occasionally, dad would see one that caught his eye, when he went to the Newsagent to buy cigarettes, and bring it home. Matchbox cars were displayed in large counter top rotating displays. You told the shopkeeper which number you wanted (after ages of deliberation), and they'd get it from behind the counter for you. The only 1-75 model I never had, was the Opel Senator. Now a highly regarded model. Thank you!

Hello, a friend from my age. In Poland, in those years, commercial models were not available at all. Everything appeared in the so-called private import. It was only in the 1970s that Superfast models appeared in very limited quantities in toy stores. greetings from Krakow

Miałem podobnego Rolls-Roycea, był bordowy miał otwierane drzwi , białe siedzenia i srebrne podwozie z datą 1979 chyba, natomiast nigdy dotychczas nie widziałem zabytkowych samochodzików tej firmy. Polskie modele z plastiku były, Bugatti 35 ciemnoniebieski, wielokolorowy Hispano-Suiza, Mercedes -Benz SSK czerwony. Pozdrawiam, filmy są super.
