I love your Model A coverage! My grandpa’s 2nd car was a Model A, which he drove from Denver to Golden daily. Flat tires were so common in those days, seldom a week went by without having to patch an inner tube, for multiple flats often occurred. He liked the A so much that he bought nothing but Fords his whole life.

It was great to meet you and your wife this year at Gilmore. Sorry I interrupted your taco meal. Gilmore is a great place to see all the Model A’s. I also recommend you visit the Greenfield Village old car festival if you can. It was the weekend before this event in Dearborn MI. .

1:51 Hand crank siren, Before I could read the plate on your Model-A fire truck siren, I thought it would be a Federal Sign and Signal as they still make motor driven sirens that fire departments seem to crave over their electronic cousins. You guys seem to be having a lot of fun, thanks for taking us along.

What an great way to start Monday. So much information and several laugh out loud moments. I agree with your assessment on Mr Glegg’s voice. Can we get him to record a book reading about Model As please? And for anyone who hasn’t been to Gilmore or this event - you really should, it was truly outstanding. Thank you as always ~ Chuck

Cheers to our Model A family down under!! We hope to get over there for the Model T festival next year. I need to get that "Real ID" thing though. I'm native American, we don't have borth certificates (tribal), so it's going to be a big hassle.

@@ModelA we have lots of visitors from the USA, so hopefully the red tape isn't too difficult. I'm sure a lot of people will recognise you, as your name comes up often in Model A discussions. I hope you're not underwhelmed by our events. They're nothing like the size of those that you guys have. I'll say G'day if I bump into you. Cheers, Pete.

As I've already said, my new hobby is coming along. In a way, Paul, I'm like you. The compressor for the airbrush wasn't what I liked as it came from the factory so I'm adding a 3 ltr. tank along with new piping and a tank gauge. Copper tubing attach the pump to the tank. Also, I'm quite interested in the depiction of the factory assembly line with the model autos. Where can you get those model cars. A perfect day at the location. Did Tina behave herself? haha Did she ask about waxes from the Ford Co. to protect their cars?

Hi Paul, I have a 29AA truck. Been having nothing but carb problems. Haven't been able to have it out any this year. It took over 8 weeks to get a new fuel bowl, rebuild kit and gage to set the float delivered. No matter what we do it runs way to rich and blows black smoke like a diesel. Does any company sell a kit or has anyone converted a Model A engine to EFI? I think I can hide a 12 volt battery and computer under the bed. Thanks for any info.
@ModelA
@ModelA Жыл бұрын
You just need a properly rebuilt Zenith carb. Call Steve over at Bert's and order one. Problem solved. You will likely have to send yours a a core.

We ordered the parts from Bert's. Took over 8 weeks to get them. Bert's is not an option. I was told about Ron's Machine Shop in Shandon Ohio. They rebuild Model A engines. I was going to take it there but unfortunately Ron Miller just passed away so I'll wait a few weeks and try them again. @@ModelA

@@ModelA Thanks Paul but I'm taking it to a local Museum. They specialize in old Fords and fire trucks. They're going to put a known good carb on it first to see if the running issue is solved.

@@ModelA On an historical note, the British WW2 Mosquito twin engine fighter was made largely from wood. A throw back to an older form of construction. They were short of trained, experienced metal workers, but flush with wood workers. So Old British wood workers built one of the best fighters of the war out of Wood! Would you have guessed that? Haha! Necessity is the mother of invention! And again, nice to meet you two! Only 359 days until Model A Days 2024!

Very interesting video ,thank you Paul . I eagerly waited for you to look at the English built 180A de luxe phaeton but you passed it by . Very sadly it has been well and truly "Americanised" by innocent well meaning folk . The original fender lights are gone and cowl lights fitted . These were not legal in England and were never fitted to English built cars . The overdressed wheels and spare tyre cover are wrong it would have had the one "Service Bulletins April 1931 page 554/277 . The headlamps have no script as they were not ""Twolite" as fender lights fitted only single bulb reflectors Was most likely "Ford Maroon" when new not that startling red colour . My feeling is a car in a museum should represent as built condition . I will post pictures on "Ford Barn" of English headlamps the only thing mild steel is the fitting bolt to the headlamp bar the rest all stainless .
