Paul, I don't live far from you, and I've always hoped to run into you. I'm a big fan of yours. Truthfully, I think that you should create a yearly calendar for tall fescue, and when to use certain products and how much. It would take a while to complete the entire thing, but people like me would purchase and support it. "The Tall Fescue Green Grail".

Does the application of fungicides harm the endophytes and mycorrhizae in the lawn?
@PaulsPrimeCuts Жыл бұрын
My understanding is no they work in the plant and flow through the plant and not necessarily any action in the actual soil

Killer vid. Again. Thanks. I'm all wound-up looking at my turf thinking the brown patch is already here in Charlotte and hit it w/Disease Ex and N on 4/29 right before rain. Maybe it was rust. I really don't want to lose my fescue again when it gets hot and my turf is sick. Thinking about hitting it w/propiconazole 14.3 on 5/13.

@PaulsPrimeCuts Жыл бұрын
@@futurestradingwithmike ok if you are centipede depending on what your fungus issue is you may be able to treat whatever you are seeing now with the eagle and as the grass starts growing for the summer you might not have many fungus issues until it slows down in the fall … in my area we don’t always need a “ preventative” application on warm season grass

Paul, the label for azoxystrobin suggests a drenching application with 2-4 gal of water per 1000 sq ft. Propiconazole doesn't require that. When you mix the two together to form Headway, do you account for that in any way? Do you change the sprinkler nozzle to achieve a higher distribution rate?
@PaulsPrimeCuts Жыл бұрын
NCSU has done studies that show for preventative applications of headway out of low volume machines like the permagreen efficacy is not lessened by the lower spray volume… as far as watering in I am fine to wait for the next morning’s irrigation cycle
@rickjames1246 Жыл бұрын
Should prop and azoxy be watered into the soil so the grass roots can uptake the product that way the whole plant is protected. From the roots to the blades. Also if you get brown patch and then treat it, how long till it starts to look better?

The mix you have at the beach is very much what we see on a lot of the lawns around here …. Very difficult to manage if you don’t pick a grass and go with it. However I maintain many lawns where we leave them all in and just cost along with an acceptable yard
