Im a transition zone guy (Richmond VA). I’m finding that my tall fescue needs a ton of maintenance. Would you recommend fescue or zoysia? Pros/cons to both? Maybe a video you could make?! I’m trying to find what would thrive but can’t find much.
@igormord86363 жыл бұрын
Paul .... I need your expertise please. Can't find answers to these 2 questions. Read university papers and watched KZbin... For cool season tall fescue, when you have Grey Leaf Spot and Brown patch; ... 1) is it OK to apply Nitrogen in low dosage? I am due for Milorganite at 0.4lb of N per 1k. Right now lawn is effected by fungus that I am treating with curative rate of Azoxy and Propiconazole. Ok to apply Milorganite? 2) since dew point is crazy high and humidity as well, I am trying not to water the lawn, but we've been having 95 degree days in the past 2-3 days and 2 more days coming up. How do you balance watering and fungus when DEW point is so high and it seems like leaves never dry up, but lawn does look like it can use some water? ... though still greener than most neighbors around for the most part.

Great stuff Paul! I plant TTTF and KBG in NE Ohio and really appreciate you guys growing it in the transdestruction zone. You are my canary in the coalmine. In the 10 years of planting this grass, I've only seen BP in one yard that was bad enough to see from the road or driveway. Most of ours is mild and in the lower canopy. As I plant more, I may have to be more proactive. I'm thinking of replacing one of my riders and have noticed that a few of you guys are running Triumphs. Up here it's Z's and SG's. Why do you like the Triumph so much?

took lots of notes from this episode. Thanks. Gray leaf spot came to my yard pretty fast. Going after it with Propi/Azoxy ... Cleary is a $250 investment right now ../. holding off.
