I always touch the doorway and usually tap it as well. Not for luck, but to remind me that despite the graceful ease with which this huge bird will lift itself up high into the sky, it is still one huge, very heavy, chunk of metal. Nice report.

Nice report. I was interested to find out that SS is one of your favorite airlines. I flew from Odessa, Ukraine to Warsaw and from Warsaw to London on one snowy day/night in January 2013. Everything about SAS was the best flying experience I had ever had. The flight crew and ground staff were extraordinary. I had been recovering from a broken back and had limited mobility. SAS had a concierge attend to me and I rode in a ambulance type vehicle out to the plane prior to all other passengers. Chopin airport had recently been built and was spectacular in every way including cheap prices on 350 ml bottles of vodka! There was a lot of snow and I had to wait a few hours because London was socked in. What could have been a miserable experience was actually fun.

Another great trip report, Paul. Yes, I always touch just to the right of the door when boarding. It's just one of the things I do!

I absolutely love SAS and they knock spots off BA for our regular UK>Sweden hops. Årlanda airport is awesome too, very well laid out with some great facilities including 2x Max bars!

Always enjoy watching these. I'm another door frame tapper! Always a double tap but not for luck, more as a greeting to my old friend the plane as I love flying.

I’m pretty late to this video, but great job! Keep up the good work! Me and my family flew with SAS from Copenhagen to London Heathrow this June (I’m Swedish). Though we did have a lot of problems with canceled flights and delays, we still got our money back, but it seems as though they are having problems with that this summer... we flew on one of their new a320 neos to London and were supposed to be put on the exact same airplane back to Copenhagen, but that flight got cancelled so we got put on the next one which was an older a321. I’m pretty sure the a320 neos are operated by SAS Ireland! The older airplanes are really starting to show their age...

I always touch the door frame to the right, not necessarily for good luck but instead to see how solid the plane feels. Didn't know anyone else did that.

Great report, great airline. MY airline! I worked for SAS for just over 11yrs. Norwegians eat at the airport, and that costs even more! They have spent £150 at least before the board the aircraft, and the complain that they had to pay £50 for the air fare. Not my type of thinking. MLK who?

hm i thought sas only used the 737 on the arlanda-london route
@andrewsebastianrothgarnant3507 жыл бұрын
bolidenplan Indeed they used to. But the current A320Neo's are used to replace the old 737-600s and 737-700s in Sweden and therefore based at Arlanda and operating flights from there. Later deliveries will be split between bases at Copenhagen, Stockholm, Malaga and Heathrow. So from Later this year most flights between Heathrow and Scandinavia will be operated by A320Neo's

One of the things which annoys me about many KZbin videos, including to some degree yours, is the music. Why do you assume that your taste in music will be shared by your viewers, and why do you think anything is added to the experience when it becomes overly loud? Regardles of anyone's individual taste in music you're going turn some of your viewers off. I think the reason most of these vlogs have music at all is the idea from Hollywood (maybe right in the 30's when people had limited access to music, but so wrong today when people have unlimited access to what they really like) that film needs music, whereas the best have little no music, or just music of the scenes (like James Blick on Spain). So my advice is to turn the volume down and make it more soothing, make it pertinent subject matter, use it more sparingly at a lower volume, or best of all, get rid of altogether.
