I've lived in West Bloomfield for 29 years and I love it...sent my son to k-12 school and could have not been happier. Not planning on moving.

I lived in Kimberly North in high school and loved it there! Cass Lake every weekend was my family's thing. But that was back when Tally Hall was still in existence. I bet it's so different now.

Can you do a video on Huntington Woods next? I lived there for 23 years and it was amazing. Lots of peace and quiet and easy to get around.

Fun fact. The driver through ban has resulted in a fast food Mecca right on the border to Kego Harbor.

The northern half of West Bloomfield has some of the most spectacular scenery in Metro Detroit whereas the southern half of West Bloomfield is extremely annoying with the traffic and pushy people - I've lived here for 60 years and seen the place change from bucolic to maddening.
@PaulWolfert3 жыл бұрын
I'd have to agree

@@PaulWolfert Let’s fix that… Lived there for many years in that southern part.. Walnut Lake Rd-ish… it was wonderful and pretty cool, the balance of quite and quality, some nice spots of rural too… but I see-heard the populous and the traffic kind of irritated the whole scene. Anyway, nice video piece and rundown you gave on it - actually considering re-settling back in there one of these days… ✨ Peace.

I choose to disagree. I dont think they have the most spectacular scenery. Oxford has better views once you get away from Lapeer Rd. The west side of Oxford Twp has a lot of woods. The eastern section and Addison Twp has woods and water. Independence Twp with the lakes and hills also tops the list. There is also nice hilly scenery around Springfield.

@@ceeko5484 you're probably right but my channel is all about Metro Detroit
@davidirwin15493 жыл бұрын
@@ceeko5484 The drive around Orchard Lake cannot be beat. Not only is the scenery spectacular but it also has some of the most historic past of any spot in Metro Detroit - Apple Island once a Native American village site and the location of where Chief Pontiac met with the local chiefs as well as the Scotch Settlement and the Military Academy.

I miss those days of shopping at Sundance shoes, Next step shoes, Levin's beauty and going to Tally Hall down the road. $3.12 for a giant plate of almond chicken, fried rice and an egg roll! Then my husband would top it off at Mile high Pie. The 80's were so much fun.

You're absolutely right about WB. It's too far out there. It's not really close to anything, doesn't have much, and dies out at night like crazy. Plus, during the winter its a depressing place. There are a bunch of alternatives where you can get large houses, quiet neighborhoods, but the city or township still has some life. Honestly, I think anything west of telegraph is too far west from anything. I think "old" money hypes it up.

it's very upmarket (a step above troy, rochester hills, novi). you won't get much of a house for 250,000 (you get a cheaply built cookie cutter ranch on a slab). not a good place to live if your middle class.
