I’m surprised. Mine work flawlessly and there’s 13 of them bordering my driveway. Knock wood but no issues yet they turn on and off like clockwork, sensors work perfect, and they charge every day so they’re full come dusk.

The first disappointment was when you said about being only 80 lumens. I too was fooled like you when I thought it wasn’t solar power because of the USB charge. That would tick me off always having to use house power to charge them every night. Best part of this product review was the emoji used LOL The backyard picture was nice.

I bought the battery version and I’m pretty happy with mine. But before I no if not these I studied about them before buying..

I indeed should have understood these lights better before buying. This still doesn't excuse all the flaws IMHO, but for sure, research is the ticket!

​@@pauly7218I think the problem was human not the device. I have friends that have the solar and they work just fine. I bought the battery one and they are fabulous I can turn them one as a group manually or eche one individually. As a group when one detects motion they all come on. I can set a schedule to keep them on all the time at night if I wish. Maybe the battery ones are what you need. Also you don't want metal corrodes eventually where the plastic will last for years

I bought some They lasted 1 year Waste of money Just buy some low voltage type and then you won’t have any issues The thing is with these the batteries don’t last long

I spent some money on Ring, then one day I wanted to wipe out the whole thing and start over. I’ve never been able to get it to work properly again. I’ve tried many things but I’m sure I did something I shouldn’t have. Not the forest time for that. 🤦🏻‍♂️

You will have to factory reset it and add it from the beginning like you did when your first got it

No reason to dog out Ring, you were not happy with anything starting with packaging, ( cause' it didn't come outta the shipping box with bright light's and singin' yer best tune) before ya bought it ya didn't research what it was designed for and what it does an does not do if ya did ya would not be bitchen' - ya want metal stakes an post's - they don't weather well - yeah I know yer in a dry area....I'm sure this is a basic lighting system - if ya want yer colored light's and the light's to be brighter and stay on longer and do the multi thing's you want it to do yer gonna need to cough up some more cash for a higher level system ... research first and never be disappointed... Enjoyed yer video and looking forward to the Holiday Video....later, M

Mike, you are probably right on 100% of your points, but when you know a manufacturer and trust them, you tend to be a little less cautious, as I was. I'm not sure it invalidates all my points or the shortcomings of these lights. While in many instances the features are what they are, there are still plenty of negatives like the virtually un-usable interface. Not every review can or should be a love letter. Have I learned a lesson? Yes. Have you pointed some valid things, yep. Thanks for the great feedback (as always!)
