In G1M1 if your intent was to to use Breath Weapon to sweep, you definitely should have blocked the second Medic with the bird. If they end up countering I don't think I would've been too shaken up about it. Love the content - New sub!

I expected the removal, but thought it was going poorly either way. Probably could have bought a few more turns without the block though. GGs, looking forward to the next!

Maindeck dispel sounds like a great idea. And I would replace some number of annuls for REB or BEB, seems like you had too much affinity hate in the SB .

As a 2 year caw gates veteran, yes, izzet control/faeries is one of gates best matchups. Red based removal for prismatic, not fast enough to rush you, yet not enough value to get throug all your threats like affinity can. Veryvery tough match. Like 70-30 I'd say.

As a tip, best chances of winning are slamming early monarchs G1. Another one, nowadays ppl are dropping guardians for 4 medic more and more, so not very usefull to play around it I'd say.

Hey Max, nice content!. Love your decks (I was playing your mardu iniciative in paper. Very fun to play but get wrecked). @1:45:34 that was a huge spew. was a bit shocked you did that against 4 cards in hand... they have been mana constrained all game of course they have something in hand. imo that cost you the game. might have still lost but let them throw endless chumpers in front if they want too.

first cantrip you are reaching for to sb out is ponder, that is the best cantrip, sees more cards and does not have the downsides of bs, you see all three where preo only sees 2, then you can see a 4th if you shuff. i dont think i ever cut ponder over preo, or bs with esp with limited ways to shuffle.

17 responses vs 9 treats in the deck, it's debatable bewteen midrange and control, plus 5 creatures are control oriented.

I've gotta agree with vincent-antoinesoucy1872, its debatable between slow midrange or control. The deck doesn't typically play a tempo plan in the way that a deck packing cheap aggressive attackers might. tempo tries to win on early board state and aggression, answering the opponent's game plan while pressuring. (U delver, for example.) the current best version of Izzet terror tried to stop your opponent from doing anything productive, then plays a "answer this threat or you lose slowly" card on turn 4 or later. seems like a control game plan to me. the fact that you happen to be able to play terror earlier than that sometimes doesn't make UR skred into a tempo deck, it means that terror is an extremely strong card that allows the deck to sometimes play a tempo angle. If you were playing a fae/ninja version, spire golem, or delver version, that would probably be tempo
