You are absolutely the most credible, authentic Pauper creator. Thank you for calling out the PFP out on what is obvious B.S.

I understand where they were coming from showing surprising stats, as I do the same with the pauper challenge results bit they really needed to show some context though. Leagues are noise a lot of time as you can see from most of my videos I only play against the big 3 decks like twice a league usually. Format is fine when you look at it from a league perspective as people are playing what they want to but competitely is a different set factors. This is why my data focuses on matchups. Sure Boros has 54% win rate but if it only beating Elves and Blue decks and doesn't pair into Broodscale or Affinity enough then the 54% isn't relevant for a competitive meta.

Love me some rites of initiation

If the Pauper community would associate me with any one card, I would love it to be Rites of Initiation. The games it can produce are hilarious and I don't think anyone else believes in the cards as much as I do.

@@Kirblinxy have been loving it in a Jund shell with dispute/wellspring to keep your hand stocked, so even a couple tokens getting through can be lethal. I will strive to be the runner-up rites cheerleader

Hahaha “the deck’s doing alright against not the big three” got a chuckle out of me

Funny that you should say that you love Rites. Cause I was just talking with Rites and it like likes you too.

Ive been playing Boros a bit and I've been trying Goblin Surprise. Its been okay to great. Basically the Guardian Pledge with the ability to make 2 1/1s instant speed after a wipe.

I'm just not a fan of 3-drops in Synth as it is hard to cast cards early off a Synth as is. It is probably a card to try in Bully instead of Rally the Peasants as the flexibility could be useful over the GY value. But I am way too value orientated so whenever I discard a flashback spell my dopamine receptors fire.

real nice. instead of ichor wellspring you could go for lambas. since the potential to destroy artefacts is quite low. it has a better effect on enter;)
@KirblinxyКүн бұрын
Fair point. I'm all about maximising Rites which is why I like Wellspring to keep my hand full. I only have Kuldotha and Munitions as ways to Sac the Wellspring which isn't enough, so maybe lembas is the right call.

I've played this deck a lot after seeing your videos at the beginning of the year and I had very good results. Chrysalis is a nightmare, but I think everything else is manageable. I'm not a fan of Bushwhacker though, 3x maindeck is definitely too many. I used to run 2x Rites and it was perfect. Vs Gruul I think you should have sided in the End the Festivities because they take care of all the Eldrazi Spawns and they also kill Arbor Elf on turn 1.

It's a decently solid deck, I've just had better results with Black Fog that I haven't really had the opportunity to play this since. I probably should have tried some new stuff since I didn't really change anything from the start of the year. Bushwhacker did seem pretty medium in this league, it is just hard to hit RR plus get other creatures for that haste value. The cards I keep wanting to try are all 2 drops; Sunshot Militia for the grindy matchups, Thraben Charm as a flexible answer for Chrys. Have you tried either of these?
@lars_rosenberg4 күн бұрын
@Kirblinxy I haven't played Boros in while either, but I would definitely try Thraben Charm. Not sure if maindeck or sideboard. As Chrysalis is the main issue, I'd probably try a couple of End the Festivities first. They are not always good in all MUs but it's always a damage and sometimes a combat trick. I think there are 2 flex slots in the deck, that used to be 2 Demand Answers in your old list and can now be used for either Thraben Charm or EtF. Thraben Charm is an additional removal for Broodscale and it also destroys Glee or Munitions that can be relevant in many situations, so it's a good card. I'd go -3 Bushwhacker, +1 Rites +2 Thrban/EtF. For Mono Red I would play Arashin Cleric in the sb as it's a good blocker and it can be replayed multiple times with Skyfisher. I'm not a fan of Sunshot Militia tbh, the sorcery speed activation has always turned me off. It can be good in some match-ups, for sure, but I feel like we need answers for other kinds of opponents.

Very nice games with that "less-than-good" deck ! tbh the Hot Dogs deck seems really solid, way more than I thought (or it was in the past). Do you consider playing it, or is it too clunky ?
@KirblinxyКүн бұрын
I think spot removal is at an all-time high because of Broodscale so I wouldn't be too game to run it. The new Cyclops looked cool though.
@savinobalducci61484 күн бұрын
do you think that this version is better than the stock one which is more value oriented?
@Kirblinxy4 күн бұрын
I think the format is a little too fast for the value orientated one as you generally just die before you can get the bouncy value engine online. I think you need to be able to cheese some quick wins like the other decks do and nothing does that better than Rites.

See Chrysalis and fly on the moon. That's it. Good deck against everything that's not that card.
