Thanks for sharing this fine symphony of Vranicky. As far as I know this symphony has not been recorded on CD. Is this a premier of a symphony that has not been performed since the composer's death?

I have never understood why music like this has been designated "romantic" which seems to me to be a term encompassing superficiality, fantasy and physicality whereas music like this transcends the physical and functions as music should - a link between man and God

Originally "Freut euch des Lebens," a "Gesellschaftslied" first published in Zurich in 1793, and very popular in the 1790s and early nineteenth century; see Max Friedlaender, "Das deutsche Lied im 18. Jahrhundert" (on Google Books), p. 373 ff. I wonder if Wranitzky used existing popular tunes also in movements 1 and 4...
