Okay quite a few people aren't educated on Jordan shoes so this needs to be said. The shoes that he brought in were NOT fake Jordans, they were Retros, which means they are a re-release of a previous shoe. He THOUGHT he had the original release which is worth a lot more, but ANY authentic Jordan in a man's size in that condition is gonna be 120+, and that particular shoe is going for $320 brand new. There's a little wear and no box, so that does kill some value, but he should've got $175-200 easily.

What you're talking about is the "gun show loophole" that people cry about where people buy guns from other people that walk in to sell a gun similar to the pawn shop. If no one in the gun show buys their gun, they figure just sell it to someone at the show for more money than the people IN the show are willing to purchase it for. No paperwork involved either so it's easy money. You can get away with it at the gun show because its an event at a random coliseum or building whereas the pawn shop is a business open M-F and they would go out of business quick if the law found out they were doing stuff like that.
