After allowing these years, you still look like a kid in a candy store when you are out running. Such a joy to watch. Keep it like that for as many years. That’s why there is only ONE Sage Canaday. I fell so, so grateful! 😊

Love your mountain run videos, Sage! I’d love to see you make a video about what it’s like to live in Boulder as an ultra runner (are the trails crowded, is the town busy, what are the challenges, etc?) and which trails are your favorite in Boulder or other parts of the world

The best one so far Sage, thanks. The Silverton vlogs recently were great, this one tops it I would say. It would be great to see this kind of vlog in the winter to. Maybe you could do a mountain running playlist (have not looked yet to see if you have one).

Can you tell us about the calf sleeves you use and the benefits you see? That would be great! Thanks. Great video.
@Vo2maxProductions4 жыл бұрын
Compressport calf sleeves (I'm sponsored by them). These are the R2. I like the feeling of some light pressure and promotion of blood flow sometimes, but I think they are also great for sun protection/protection from shrubs and sticks too.
@dustinmoilanen79124 жыл бұрын
Vo2maxProductions thanks. Much appreciated. I have been dabbling in using sleeves. Sometimes it really feels like they are helping some general fatigue when I’m doing a lot of vertical and other days I just can’t seem to tell. Strange. I do almost always use taller socks at elevation where the brush is scrubby so I can definitely see these doing double duty there. I will give this brand a shot. Love your vids and really appreciate you taking the time to answer my question. Take care.

What do you do to protect yourself from big cats and bears!?!?
@Vo2maxProductions4 жыл бұрын
we've been thinking about getting some bear spray but I doubt I'll be able to have it out in time (we don't have grizzly bears here luckily). If a big cat is going to attack I probably won't even see them coming before they pounce....I guess I'd try to stab it in the eye or grab a rock/stick and fight hard if that happened. Bear (black bears) you're supposed to make noise and side-step, but then also fight back if they attack. Otherwise I was generally more worried of other creatures like Moose and humans!

wow! did you eat anything during this ??
@Vo2maxProductions4 жыл бұрын
I ate like 800 calories (some in a drink mix). That was only a rate of a little over 100 calories/hour which actually isn't very much. I probably should have brought more food/gels!

@Vo2maxProductions4 жыл бұрын
@@jamesongaertner9416 yeah there's a filter on that! If I was at 12,000' or higher and it was coming off an isolated snow-melt it would probably be fine without a filter. I don't like taking any chances (after knowing what its like to get Giardia...trust me...you don't want to get Giardia!)
